Left a bit disappointed

The tour could have been so much more. As the bus is going through the city the guide points out the business buildings. Banks, insurance companies, etc. There is plenty of time to tell the story of the city. They could have given some history of the city, what makes it unique compared to other European cities. The buildings shown are all "relatively" new (18th Century) though the city is more than 2000 years old. So much more story to tell.

Dear Jeremy, Thank you very much for having joined our Best of Zürich city tour and for sharing your experience with us. We are truly sorry to hear that the city tour did not live up to your expectations. The aim of the tour is to give our guests an overview of the main attractions in Zürich in just over two hours. Since Zurich owes its worldwide reputation to its prestigious banks and insurance companies, the tour also covers some information about their historical significance. We try to include as many different aspects as possible and simultaneously aim to maximize the time at the actual destinations considering the interest of the majority of our guests, which may range from history to culture, shopping and life in Switzerland in general. We hope that you were still able to enjoy a wonderful stay in Switzerland and would be very happy to welcome you back on our tours on your next trip to Zürich. Best regards, Best of Switzerland Tours

Great overview of Zurich

The local company was a pleasure to deal with. Wonderful brief introduction to the city. Boat tour doesn't operate in winter, so they substituted the ferry; cable car was out of order, so they substituted the cog railway. All done smoothly, efficiently and in good spirit. A relaxed, pleasurable afternoon.

Don’t waste your money

We showed up 15 mins late to the main station for a 1pm trip and nobody was there to assist us. Nobody called or sent an email so we took the trip time. This was a boring drive trough of the city on a bus with headphones. We spent most tome on the bus sleeping cause there was no interaction and when they did let us out, we had 5 mins at each stop and we did t even get to get out to most stops. I should’ve done my own tour.

Dear Krista, Thank you very much for your review of our Best of Zürich City Tour. We are sorry to hear that you missed the originally booked tour and had to take a tour of another company instead that did not live up to your expectations. Unfortunately, we are confronted with late arrivals every day, which is why the tour guides wait for a maximum of 5 minutes before the tour departs. As the ticket office closes after our last departure of the day, we could only have offered you assistance over the phone. While we fully understand that your experience was disappointing, we kindly ask you to understand that it is also a question of consideration towards other guests on the tour who would rather explore the city than wait on the bus for late arrivals. In case you cannot find our departure point, you can always contact us at our emergency number +41 44 710 50 50 and we will be happy to help you with directions. We hope that you enjoyed a wonderful stay in Switzerland and look forward to welcoming you on one of our tours on your next trip to Zürich. Best regards, Best of Switzerland Tours

An exciting day

I plan this trip for my group of friends (16) and wasn’t disappointed. The bus was comfortable with a guide and it gave us a chance to quickly see Zurich enabling us to plan our remaining days and what we wanted to see. All my friends felt the same.

I enjoyed the short tour as I only had a couple hours to do some site seeing. Daniel I thought could have done a little more talking during the tour. All and all I was happy with it.

The guide gave minimal details.saying”this build is called...” and nothing more. The bus was packed and people were fighting over seating.

Dear Teresa, Thank you very much for having joined our “Best of Zürich City Tour” and for submitting a review of your experience. The aim of the tour is to give our guests a good overview of Zürich in just over two hours. We try to include as many different aspects as possible and simultaneously aim to maximize the time at the actual destinations considering the interest of the majority of our guests. As we allocate our seats on a "first come, first served" basis instead of fixed allocations, your preferred seat may no longer be available when boarding the bus. We therefore recommend that you arrive early at check-in to ensure that you have the broadest choice of available seats. We hope that you enjoyed a wonderful stay in Switzerland and look forward to welcoming you back on our tours on your next trip to Zürich. Best regards, Best of Switzerland Tours

More walking than expected
Mainepep

The tour was OK. We did a lot more walking than expected (it's a bus tour) and my wife stayed on the bus because of her bad knee. If you don't stand near the tour guide during these walks, you won't hear the details of what he says.

This was the worse city tour that I...

This was the worse city tour that I have gone on and I've been on many city tours including Barcelona, Madrid, Auckland, Sidney, Melbourne, Nice, Prague,...First off we started late and ended early so the tour was less than 2 hours. It was supposed to be 2 1/4 hour long. We were supposed to have a picture stop and short introduction walk in Old Town. I don't why, but the guide decided to go back to the bus station early and we did not see St Peter church with Europe's largest clock face, the Grossmunster church and the Framunster church with the famous stained glass windows by Marc Chagal. In addition the tour was in German and English. There were only 4 Germans on the bus and over 30 English speaking passengers. Half of the time we were blocks past the sight that was being discussed because the discussion was in German first. Also, our guide was more interested in talking about the rules such as getting back to the bus on time after a photo stop and asking for a tip at the end of the tour. The middle door of the bus was not opened at the end of the tour forcing everyone to exit out the front door. Neither the guide or driver assisted anyone out of the bus, but both had their hands out for tips! There are other companies that offer city tours in Zurich. I would not recommend this company if you are interested in a city tour of Zurich.

The trip time is short compared to...
Mohamed S

The trip time is short compared to the traffic jam and the distance traveled. The time spent at Lake Zurich need to be increased. However the trip gives a very good overview of Zurich for one to plan separate visits later for the areas covered. I recommend to take this trip at the earliest possibility of your arrival to Zurich so you can plan accordingly your individual visits.
