I was a bit disappointed by this tour. I've done a lot of walking tours over the years and this one really lacked color and substance. Our guide was a nice guy, but the actual content of the tour was very average. There was only really four stops on the two-hour tour, two of which we had already seen ourselves just walking around, and the other two we would have seen by the end of our week in Jogja. There was not really much attempt to show us local culture or how locals live. This tour needs a lot more information on local life beliefs, culture, food, history etc.. I'd suggest stopping at some of the street warangs and getting people to try some food, or maybe stopping to show some of the interesting graffiti. Add to that the Rp330,000 price tag AUD30 and we felt quite ripped off. While it's not much if you are holidaying in Europe or the US, I'm quite sure we could have found better ways to spend that amount in Indonesia.

The guide was great and be prepared to walk. Had lots of fun with the lighted 'wheelers'.......it is not engine operated....and it exactly works like bicycle where everyone in the 'car' needs to cycle to get it moving. Very fun though! At the end of the tour, the guide brought us to a very nice cafe for coffee included in the package and there is a chocolate store there....the chocolates ARE FABULOUS!!!!
