Must do adventure
Donna_W

WOW! This is a must do adventure for anyone visiting Yellowstone! Josh was our guide. His amicable and humorous personality made the hike so enjoyable. Josh took us off the typical hiked trail and along bison trails which made the experience feel so special. He was informative; sharing great stories due to his vast knowledge of wildlife and of the history of the area. The Lamar Valley was stunning with the fall colors all around us.

Emily was pleasant. We saw bison & pronghorn but no bears. Good food.
We were given a local number by the operator on booking but there is no response from that number. It is hard to contact them for any questions before the hike.

You guys suck. You booked two tours for me over for an a half hours from my hotel. That means I would’ve been commuting nine hours to each of these excursions. I will never use you again I will tell as many people as I can not to use you.
Wonderful hike but not sure it was worth the $$

I would give it a higher review but not sure it was worth the $$. In our lunch we got a warm and mushy lunch meat sandwich on bread that the meat probably would not pass inspection after being unrefrigerated for so long (4+ hours on a warm day) The hiking experience was great but if you offer lunch it should be better thought out. Also would have liked a more experienced guide… not bad though.

Disappointing!

After rushing to get to the tour with road closures the tour started with the guide showing up 30-minutes late. We took numerous breaks and after an 1 hour and 45 minutes of hiking we could still see our cars from the parking lot. We were disappointed the guide had moose and elk antlers hidden in the brush...no big discovery! The exposure to wildlife was limited and better on the car ride to the tour. The entire hike took 6 hours and covered less than 6 miles. Yes it took us one hour to cover one mile through the valley. The hike certainly be done in a couple of hours and our time spent on vacation exploring other areas. Disappointing!

WHAT A GREAT DAY!

My son (22) and I (55M) booked this hike after reading reviews of several companies and it did not disappoint. In fact, it exceeded all expectations! Communication before the day of the hike were great and the directions to the trailhead were spot on.
Our guides, Josh and Alex were at the meeting site early and enthusiastically greeted us and the other hikers. They passed around the day’s snacks and lunches along with trekking poles, binoculars and bear spray for everyone.
After a brief safety review, we started off on our hike. The valley isn’t like hiking in the mountains, but it’s also not perfectly flat. You’ll need to be in moderate shape even though you’ll stop multiple times for breaks to rest, learn about the flora and fauna and have a snack if you want.
We walked about 3 miles before eating the provided lunch which was a turkey and Swiss sandwich, chips and any of the snacks that you might have left. It will take about another 3 hours to make it back to the trailhead to complete the hike.
Josh talked to us about the plants animals in the park along with history of the area including how the valley was formed. We saw hundreds of bison, many pronghorn, some grizzlies (from a great distance), bighorns and countless cute little ground squirrels. It was a great day that we’ll never forget.
A few pointers: bring your own binoculars if you have good ones , don’t forget a rain jacket, you’ll need plenty of water and sunscreen and make sure your hiking boots are well broken in.
I highly recommend this trip!!!
