Returns to original departure point
Meet your guide at North End Beach in Virginia Beach, get fitted out with a boat and learn the basics of kayaking operation and safety. Your sit on top boat is stable, comfortable and suitable for all skill and experience levels, so you can focus on soaking up the scenery and watching for dolphins.

Follow your guide on a route toward the historic Cape Henry Lighthouses that passes through prime dolphin habitat. Atlantic bottlenose dolphins live and swim in groups, and have extraordinary intelligence; if you’re lucky, a dolphin may choose to play right alongside your boat, interacting and showing off. You’ll also see seabirds like the pelicans and ospreys that nest along the coast, and groups occasionally spot a sea turtle or cownose ray slipping beneath the surface.

When you reach Cape Henry Lighthouse turn your boat around for the return trip to North End Beach, where you’ll finish the tour.

First time kayaking
, Oct 2020
Guide was excellent. This was my first time kayaking. I felt very confident once in kayak and on water. All anxiety I had floated away behind me. More fun than motor boating. Sunset tour absolutely breathtaking. Dolphins aplenty!!! SO.MUCH.FUN. Cannot wait to do this again!!!

Great tours, guided by the history of the area and lots about dolphins. You will get wet so plan accordingly.

Thank you!
Nice group of people. Michael did a great job!

The guide Michael was friendly & had a wealth of information. We were very pleased with him. The dissatisfaction was that we didn’t get to kayak with the dolphins.
Different Tour
, Sep 2020
We were supposed to go on an ocean dolphin tour, but it was cancelled due to high winds. The company was kind enough to rebook us on a kayak tour of First Landing State Park instead. Unfortunately, with such a big group (18 people) spread out, it was impossible to hear the guide as he was sharing info. We had a fun stop at a little beach and got to go for a swim. Then, we went into a channel to view an eagle's nest. There was a very low bridge that we had to do a "limbo" in our kayaks to get under. There was about an inch or two of clearance from a concrete block under the bridge and my son scraped up his hands as he protected his face. My daughter almost whacked her head going under the bridge too. Overall, it was a nice trip out on the water and we saw some interesting things, but due to the safety issues with the bridge and inability to hear the guide, I would not recommend this tour.

Thank you for your feedback. Unfortunately the winds do sometimes make us have to change course in regard to what tours we can operate. We always give the customer the option of a refund but we also provide alternative tours should they be interested. Sounds like this one was a true adventure. Glad you enjoyed the experience and apologize for not being able to hear the guide better.
Family vacation blast

These guys are awesome! They are a well oiled machine. The owner of the shop was there to greet us, And explain every detail of how they were going to try everything in their power to make it enjoyable for everyone, and they succeeded. We had a 7 year old all the way to 2- 62 year olds with 5 others in between and they watched out for everyone and made sure we all had the best chance to see the dolphins. Had a blast guys keep up the great work, and would recommend these guys to everyone!!!

Let me start off by saying I’m a New York City guy all the way . This kayaking experience with the wife and the tour guides couldn’t have been better. Makes me wanna change my whole way of living lol. Seriously Matt,Justin and B. We’re all great . Patient kind knowledgeable and recommended best spot to eat wife and I did get some nice video of dolphins but over all great guys water was beautiful. Will reccomend to anyone visiting va beach .
Excellent experience

Our guide Will was tremendous, and the entire experience (AM tour, N/S along northern end of Va Beach) was stellar. We were fortunate to be part of a small group (only 2 tandem kayaks plus the guide.) We highly recommend the tour, even if you have zero experience sea kayaking. We saw a bunch of dolphins, yet just being out on the water was worth the price.
