Half of the trip is on the canal where views are restricted by the step banks and boat design. Of the time on the river some 50% is spent sitting in locks staring at concrete walls. The commentary was spasmodic, concentrating on commercial or industrial features - the container depot, waste recycling, the power station. Outside space was limited and largely occupied by smokers. Food & service was fine but overall not a great experience. Noisy mobile phone users were another distraction.

The Cruise was interesting although rather lengthy.
the promo for the cruise should have been clearer regarding the possibility to choose shorter cruises.
In addition we had expected (perhaps mistakenly) that the cruise would be accompanied by more detailed explanations of the various sites.
The inclusion of 2 locks in the cruise while interesting (once) took about a half hour each. I believe these should have been explained in a little more detail particularly considering the time available just standing in the lock.
It seemed that the main purpose of the cruise operators was to sell meals.
While we didn't partake, the service seemed to be quite reasonable.
