We visited on Sunday, 9/03/2020 and our guide Cecille certainly had her hands full. Between us being late even though we left two hours early, it being rainy and windy and myself falling in the mud my mum and I had a wonderful time. This experience definately was the best part of our trip to Paris!! Our guide was very patient and a great teacher as neither of us had ever travelled via a segway and we enjoyed every second and all the history information on the tour was brillant. Thank you very much next time we come to Paris we hope to experience this again (I just hope not to get as muddy) Thank you!!

Well Versed Tour and Friendly TourGuide!

We got to Versaille early so that we would have enough time to find the segways. Unfortunately, the address/location listed on the ticket was not the right location they were in, and every person we asked to point us in the right direction told us opposite information. After an HOUR, 3 miles walked in the cold, 6 phone calls with the tour guide, we found them on the far side of the gardens. I have to say, I was SHOCKED that they waited 45 minutes for us and still gave us the full tour!!! Great service, and friendly guy. I think it was because we were the last tour of the day, but I sill am happy with how they handled it- definitely recommend!

I went with my 12 year old daughter, and we were the only 2 people on the tour that day. He taught us ride the Segways, and we were very quickly enjoying zooming around during the long trips from one key location to another. The whole place is just massive, so a walking tour would be terrible I think. Our guide was fun and helpful and full of great stories about the monuments we were seeing. Don’t miss it!

Segway in Versailles Gardens

It turned out to be a great activity, but I would suggest that people put "Grand Canal" into their phone destinations to find the meeting location. It took us 30 minutes to walk to this location from where the uber dropped us off and we missed the tour! Arthur was amazing and gave us a personal tour instead a little later in the day. The tour is for the external gardens and was very fun. We ended up renting a golf cart for about 35 euro to see the formal gardens so we felt like we saw alot that day.

Best way to see the gardens of Versailles - our operator knew we had been before so we chose to go further with less commentary. Highly recommended.

First time on a Segway

The Segway was a nice way to see the gardens. There isn't too much to see in the gardens pasted the canal, but my 13 year old thought the Segway was cool. Keep in mind that the walk to the Segway meeting point is long, so make sure you read the detailed instructions in the info they email.

PLAN AHEAD!

We booked a 2:30pm tour for segways and was told to meet by the grand canal. Meeting directions were not the best. We were told you could get there through the main gardens of Versaille or a side street with no address provided and even our taxi driver didn't know. We opted for the garden entrance thinking we would have time to walk them for a bit before our tour only to find out that it was a 45-minute wait just to buy a ticket. (We arrived at 1:20pm for our 2:30pm tour) Once we got the ticket it was another 20 minute walk down to the grand canal. Once there, no clear signs or hosts to help you find the right meeting point and made us 45- minutes LATE! These details might be helpful to know if you have never been to Versaille. However, the tour guide was awesome and got us in at 4:30pm so we rented a boat, got lunch and ended up having a great day. All's well that end's well, I guess but PLAN AHEAD if you are going through the gardens before your tour. And the meeting point is on the left corner just beyond the exit gates, close to the ice cream stand. :)
