Best Value Tour

Me and my wife attended a morning tour. The directions are detailed and accurate. The boat was prompt. I would suggest arriving 15min before your departure time. Our guide was very nice. She spoke many languages and was very knowledgeable. The glass factory associated with the tour had a great selection of quality products. We compared prices at other glass shops for similar glass pieces and couldn’t find the same quality at a better deal. Bruano was awesome we took great pics here. We skipped the lace presentation and went for lunch. Beware of the service charges at the restaurants. The only downside for this tour was it was too short. I would have liked an extra 30 mins in Bruano. We only had 50 mins

Great short tour

I have given 5 stars as for the price, it’s a perfect trip. You set off from outside KFC at 10am (easy to find location), then do another pick up on the other side of Venice. Then you head to Murano. The glass blowing demonstration is really cool. You have 45 mins after this to walk around Murano - it’s a small place so I thought this was fine. Next, you go to Burano. You pretty much are free to explore Burano yourself for just over an hour. It’s a small place also but it would have been nice to have a bit more time there to sit and relax - I took a lot of pictures and got a drink then headed back to the boat. The drop off point is near San Marco Square, I would have preferred to have been dropped off the same place of departure. The tour guide speaks many languages and she was very friendly. The boat staff were lovely also. We had a flight to catch that evening so the short tour was really convenient for us. Thank you to the people running the tour!

Easy way to visit Murano and Burano
Fiona_R
, Jul 2020
This tour is not really a tour but more of a way to be transported around the islands. There is a talk at a Murano glass factory but the rest is free time to explore, about an hour in each island. It works out cheaper than buying separate vaporetto tickets and removes the hassle of looking for the right boat but also limits your visit in terms of time. It lasted about 3.5 hours.

Not what was expected

Felt like a sardine tin can with everyone smash into this boat, especially on a 107 degree day. No room for movement, windows wouldn't open to allow air flow. The tour that was included was provided, however when your looking to see lace being made and glass being blown. you do not get what you expect.

Poor instructions

The tour said it starts at 10:30 but gives 2 locations. It did not say the first location stop is at 10 so we missed the tour.

Not enough time

We were rushed at every stop. We had only an hour, if you go to the glass demonstration of 15 minutes then the visit in the store it left no time to see the rest of the Island in Murano. Then for Burano it was lunch time. So you had just enough time to grab a bite without visiting the Island. Also having 2 different pick-up points we lost time to visit. The tour not long enough.

The glass factory on Murano Island was fantastic. Burano Island was my favorite with all the colorful buildings.

Very good trip

Very good length of time with adequate information for two small islands that do not vary significantly to the centre of Venice. My only feedback is that when I called from mainland to confirm meeting point the lady who answered did not know English.

The directions were not very clear...

The directions were not very clear see other directions from other providers for good examples, but we managed to make it on time. Still, we did not see the representative, and there appeared to be nobody waving a clipboard. Attempts to text the number provided bounced back. We saw other reps from the same company who indicated that the boat for our tour had left 5 minutes prior to our meeting them, although we had already been on site by then for 15 minutes. Super unhappy at having wasted 60 Euros. We received no texts/emails from the tour guide to see if were were there. Very frustrating. Would go with another, rated guide this was a new tour on Viator. We've been on 5 tours so far on this Italian trip booked through Viator, and this was the only one where this has happened.
