Venice is hard to say goodbye to – even for the day – but the Dolomites may help you forget about it for a few hours. After meeting your driver-guide, hop in your comfortable minivan and head north through the rustic Northern Italian landscape.

The first stop is the ski resort town of Cortina d'Ampezzo. Take some free time here to go shopping in the chic boutiques, enjoy a coffee and dessert at a cafe or just explore the town before heading to your next stop.

Arrive at Lake Misurina, or the 'Pearl of the Dolomites,' as it is sometimes called. The lake is especially picturesque with the Tre Cime di Lavaredo in the background, three distinctive peaks that tower in the distance and one of the most well-known mountain groups in the Alps. Drive toward the peaks and stop to get an amazing view.

Later, sit down at a local trattoria for a traditional Dolomite lunch (at own expense) and then take some free time to go on a stroll around the lake. Or, if you'd rather rest your legs, continue relaxing at the restaurant.

Meet up with your driver-guide at the set time and begin your journey back, arriving in Venice in the early evening.

Please note: From November 15th until Tre Cime di Lavaredo reopens (around the third week of May) this tour will visit Braies Lake and San Candido, located on the border of Austria) instead of Lake Misurina and Tre Cime di Lavaredo. From November 23rd to January 6th you'll also visit the San Candido Christmas Market.

Really enjoyed our experience, the tour guide was very helpful and took time to explain things thoroughly to us. The pick up location was easy to find and we were dropped off in an easy location for getting back to our hotel. The scenery was breathtaking, a great day out.

Was a great experience. Breath taking views and our guide was awesome. Love the small town atmosphere and slower pace. Great break from the busy city.
excellent experience - the Dolomites

The landscape is breathtaking! The weather was great so we left Venice and got to the mountains in no time. The driver was nice and took us to all the places where we could take great photos. It was a small tour - we had a group of 6 and it was perfect, we got along really well. I really recommend this tour!
Magical, breathtaking

This is a must do day trip. This is a small tour so our group of 7 was perfect, just us and our driver/tour guide. Our experienced guide Giovanni’s knowledge of the area was extensive and his love for the countryside plainly obvious when he spoke of the alps. We were blessed with snow on the day of our trip which only added to the magic and excitement. Hailing from sunny North Queensland in Australia some of us had only seen snow once in our 50+ life and for my youngest sister it was her first time. The picturesque Lago Di Braies was breathtakingly beautiful and as the snow fell we reverted to our childhood throwing snowballs, making snow angels and truly enjoying the moment. This magical day will forever be firmly etched in our memories. If you are thinking of taking this tour DO IT it’s worth the money and I’m sure you won’t be disappointed. We fondly refer to it as ‘Best Day Ever’

Excellent small group tour to see the Dolomites mountain range and the small towns around the area. Great stops along the way for pictures and taking short walks to enjoy the views.

A Great Way to See the Countryside

Taking a day from the hustle and bustle of Venice is just what we needed. The five of us boarded our mini van, and set off with our delightful guide to the town of Cortona, and the Dolomites. The pacing of this tour was wonderful, and allowed lots of time for photos, and coffees along the way. It was so interesting to see the gradual emergence of Austria, even though we never left Italy. Beautiful scenery, and interesting facts made this a wonderful day.
