Manuela was an excellent guide. She went above and beyond to accommodate us (intolerance to fish and seafood). Good tour!

Lisa did a great job of introducing us to Granville Island's wonderful food while making it fun. We tasted lots of yummy food but did not feel overwhelmed by the volume. I highly recommend this tour.

A good tour of a great market

We enjoyed the tour very much. The tastings were of a good variety and quality of foods, from fish and chips to doughnuts. The guide, Tracy, was very good at her job. She was pleasant, connected with the individuals of the group, and was knowlegeable. We had a pleasant walk around the market, and got to meet some of the store owners. The tour took about two hours, which were well spent. A good opportunity to see a market which is as good as Borough Market in London (which is high praise).

This was an excellent tour of the Granville Market, hosted by a very well informed guide. We sampled everything from appetizers through deserts and ended up buying a bunch of stuff to bring back to our hotel for the coming days.

This was a really fun tour of the market and the varied foods it has to offer. Lots of yummy samples, and we made use of our tour member discount to get some coffee and buy food from the vendors we had visited.

This was a fabulous foodie tour. Michael, our guide from Vancouver Foodie Tours was absolutely outstanding. His warm and gracious demeanor coupled with his “foodie” expertise made this tasting tour very special. Granville Island is a truly interesting enclave just over the bridge from downtown. We did 9 different “tastings”....all amazing and all local/British Columbia “farm to table” products. I highly recommend this experience if you find yourself in Vancouver.

Great way to see the market and get to taste different food items. It was nice to be able to go to the different vendors (8-9) and have a taste test. The vendors were always prepared for us and our guide (i am bad on names but she was very personable) did a nice job in giving us some history of the market and some of the vendors that we visited. I would do this again. Tour was a very reasonable price.

This tour was the highlight of our quick trip to Vancouver. Lydia was an excellent guide and gave us all kinds of info on the city and what else to try in terms of menu items at the stops on tour, as well as other places in the city to see. Everything we had was delicious and we were full for the rest of the day. The Chai latte is the best I've ever had...and you can't beat a hot fresh donut!

Delicious experience weaving our way around Granville Island's many offerings and sampling high quality foods. Nadia was a knowledgable leader, giving a short background/history of foods and vendors. Later I revisited places and used discounts we were given.

Wife and I was somewhat disappointed in this tour. While the guide did a nice job relating the history of the market and the biographies of the selected food vendors, we wished vendors would have been selected more for their uniquely Vancouver/Canadian offerings. Some of the vendors selected offered foods you could find at most city markets.

We booked the small-group Granville Public Market Foodie Tour for our last day in Vancouver. It was outstanding! Our guide, Tracy, did a nice job of introductions within the group and quickly got our tour underway. She was fun and shared information about the market and what we were tasting. She also did a nice job of moving us through the crowded market and conducted our tastings in quieter areas. Now about the tastings: We had full-portion samples of a veggie plate, BC rede or white wine, coffee, charcuterie meats, cheeses, breads, in-season cherries, iced tea lemonade, hot fresh doughnuts, maple syrup and chocolate. Come hungry, leave full. Plus they provide discount coupons for purchases at some of the vendors visited and a free refill on the lemonade if you return after the tour. Great deal! Great time!

It was a wondeful tour! I would do another one in a minute. Miguel Alzugaray was our guide this day and he was welcoming and knowledgeable with a great sense of humor. The tour was efficient and informative. I am a food tour guide in Baltimore, MD and Miguel is at the top of his class!

I went on one of the Granville Island Market Tours about a month ago -- and I had a great time! Miguel, our tour guide, was super-friendly and informative. All you need to do is to show up hungry: they'll take it from there. You'll try everything from artisan bread to charcuterie, to fresh, local fruits to sweet treats. One of the last stops was a doughnut from Lee's -- delightful! After the tour, Miguel was even kind enough to make restaurant recommendations. And I got an email from Vancouver Foodie Tours for follow-up that was personalized. They're obviously very dedicated to customer care. The only thing that I would recommend that I haven't read in the reviews is to bring a water bottle to stay hydrated. The market has water fountains and refilling stations for water bottles. All in all, this is a great way to get familiar with Granville Island Market and find out more about Vancouver. When I'm back I'll definitely try another tour with VFT.
