Chichen Itza Day Trip from Tulum Including Cenote and Lunch

This experience was well worth it! Our guide was extremely entertaining and very informative. It was very organized no hiccups at all.

Everything was amazing! I felt safe all while having fun! The tour guides took us to Chichen itza and then a cenote! After we went to this small town and shopped around. Gonzalo & Alfredo were super knowledgeable and sweet! They answered all our question. A huge shoutout to the driver! I did not get car sick at all which is a surprise because I always get car sick! Thanks guys!

This tour was value for money. 1st stop was a Mayan village market which was nice exposure to the culture, however I believe we could have shortened the time spent there. We then had lunch on the same property which was good (options were chicken, pork, rice, beans, veggies, fruit). Afterwards, we headed to Chichen Itza and we had the best guide. He was a Mayan and was so knowledgeable and shared so much with us. He also made sure we stood in the shady spots while he spoke because the sun was intense there. Next stop was the Cenote. We have to pay a mandatory $3 usd for life vests but it was worth it. The water was so refreshing especially after being in the heat all day but I wish we had a longer time to enjoy it. Our final stop was Villadolid which is a small town. We were able to get elotes and churros along with tacos and empañadas which were yummy. We only had 30 mins here so we had to get everything to go. This is another stop I wish we had more time at. Overall great tour and our tour guides were very knowledgeable.

Great value for money. Firstly pickup was 30mins late. Then we had a 1.5hr drive. Taken to a tourist trap! 1.5hrs of nothing ness but an attempt to sell you loads of touristy rubbish. I'm sure some people would like it but everyone we spoke with didn't enjoy the experience. We also had our food here. Which was average. Chichen Itza great and very interesting. Balam was a very good guide. 1.5hrs here. Then onto the cenote. 1hr here which was just enough to get changed, go and jump in the cenote and then get back to the bus. Onto Valladolid. Again........really, no time 45mins. Probably a good thing as there is really nothing to do or see that is out of the ordinary. Just more shops selling the same things. Discard the rediculouse waste of time at the beginning and the stop at Valladolid at the end and just make the day more enjoyable and not soooo long.

Amazing staff!!! Everyone was so nice and truly cared about your experience. The morning was a little bit long before you go to chichen itza but the staff was so incredible, we didn’t mind!

By far the tour guides were the highlight of this tour. I really enjoyed them and they were very accommodating and knowledgeable. We had a great time.

The cons: - It was set up to make a huge “guilt trip” to buy what seems over priced merchandise. I’m going to call it the: Maya-Market Trap. - It was a constant set up, to buy yet another souvenir with same guilt trip. - They are ALL in on it. So it’s like you are fending against, the tour guides, the merchants, the person smiling at you... etc. - Pricing strategy seems a bit of a scam. Starting at a very high price, reducing it to maybe buying-price; than someone else shows up and says that the “discount”‘can’t be honored that low and back up again (mind you at that time you have item in hand and a bit emotionally attached to it) or that it was for a different item, etc. At this point once again the guilt trip goes in motion. - They will ask for your personal belongings to be donated, hats, glasses, shoes... for a poor kid in the community. While I often leave a hat or shoes behind I usually give it directly to the person receiving it. In my situation happened so fast that I have no ideas who received it, nor I got a simple thank you. So, if you go. Prepare yourself for the emotional abuse of guilt trip into buying “stuff.” Really distasteful and seriously a turn off. I help and donate all the time. This was so abusive that I actually wanted my hat back to give it to someone else in town. (Clearly I didn’t do this, just felt like doing it). The good stuff: - Once at Chi Chen Itza, they were very organized to move our 60+ group of strangers. - The guide was knowledgeable, friendly and in good spirits. I would totally hire him again. (Jesus was his name). - Once at the Cenote was everything seen in pictures and quite amazing. - The stop at Valladolid was way too short, but enjoyable if you simply stop and ask food to go. Perhaps less time at the Mayan-Merchant Trap... - The bus was great. It could use a bit more AC in the back, and they adjusted when all of us asked for it. So, would I take it again? No. I would look for a tour that doesn’t make a point to stop at a Mayan-Market Trap. It seems that we spent more time there than anywhere else. I hope you find this helpful.

Great tour, the guides were incredibly knowledgeable and gave information clearly and proficiently in English and Spanish. We were divided into smaller groups to tour chichen itza which was such a bonus rather than walking around in a group of 60 people waiting for the slower ones. The cenote was beautiful and the type of sunken leafy cenote you see on the internet :) lunch was filling too. Valladolid was worth seeing as a quaint colourful and colonial town, and a great place to grab a snack after a busy day

The trip was amazing! Booking was easy. The tour guide (Mundo) was very energetic, knowledgable and a wonderful photographer. I would definitely recommend you all to book the excursion as it was definitely one to remember.

This was the best experience our guides Jesus Mario pedro and sorry I don’t remember our other 2 guides but they where the best they gave us so much information and had us laughing through the whole trip One thing to remember please don’t make the same mistake I did. I spent all my money buying gifts along the way that I did not have enough tip money to give our guys they did a wonderful job they deserve a good tip I will book again
