Great 2-3 hour activity without a crowd

I purchased these tickets online and didn't realize that teamLab had 2 exhibitions and I had wanted to go to the bigger one, Borderless. However, I'm really glad we ended up going to the Planets exhibition. It was a good 2-3 hours spent as we didn't want this to take up the whole day. And because this one is smaller, there isn't overcrowding so we got some fun photos and had a great experience overall. The Plants exhibition has a total of 6-7 exhibits and you can spend as much time as you want in each one. I went with my husband and my mom and they both enjoyed it. One major difference is that the Planets exhibition requires visitors to enter without shoes so keep that in mind. The exhibit entryway helps clean your feet before you enter.

Interesting innovation

This was an interesting experience. I did know in advance that there were areas that I would be unable to wear shoes in so I was prepared for that, just not prepared to have to take off my socks and be in water up to my knees in some areas. I was a little grossed out by that so I know it took away from my experience. The concept is really awesome however!

We loved the Team Labs experience. The line was not busy so no real need to book in advance but that could of been the day and time we went being a Sunday afternoon. The area around Toyosu was also a nice experience. More families and a relaxed atmosphere

Check the currency you are being charged !

I’m a Canadian on holiday here in Japan, using my Canadian dollar credit card, and booked the Tokyo teamLabs Planets while here In Tokyo. So far so good. The venue was an AMAZING experience. But Viator charged my credit card in Indian Rupees?? Have not heard yet from the site as to why or how this happened. The price was similar to what I would have paid in Canadian currency, but now I will be charged for the two exchange rates - Yen to INR to C$. Just be careful.
