The tour guide Teddy, gave us a very nice tour and customized the itinerary to suit our requests. We saw the Hakone sulphur springs and took the ropeway (cable car) from there to the Lake Ashi. We took the the pirate ship for a tour of the lake. The weather in December a little cool but nice. We were able to see Mt. Fuji for a bit until the clouds came out and covered it up. My wife went to outlets while I went to an onsen (hot spring). We enjoyed the whole experience although the price is slightly high as we had to pay for the pirate ship and cable car in addition to the tour fee.

Dear Mike: Thank you very much for using our Hakone explore tour from Tokyo Star Agency this time. Also, we appreciate your good feedback on the tour. I am happy that you enjoyed the tour and a day in Hakone Area. As you mentioned you had various unique experiences with our Van tour. Though the weather on the day was not good enough, you could enjoy every activity such as viewing Owakudani sulfur springs from the ropeway and a ride on the pirate ship over the lake, visiting experiencing Onsen by moving around the area. I also believe your wife had a good shopping time in Gotemba Premium Outlet. If you or your friends want to visit Tokyo and the surrounding area (such as Mt. Fuji/Hakone, Nikko, Kamakura, etc) in the future we are ready to take you to the best tour at any time. Thank you again for using TSA tour this time. Thank you very much!!!! Teddy
Excellent Service

Our guide Takashi-san has excellent command of English and share with us a lot of information on Mount Fuji, wind/ice cave. He led us to each location and explain clearly. Our driver(Toshi-san) is extremely professional, patiently waiting in the car for us at each site. As we did not manage to catch sunset over Mount Fuji due to bad weather, he volunteer to send us some pictures which he has taken a week earlier. Overall my family enjoyed the trip and the professionalism of both the guide and driver.

Dear Kee Cheong Thank you very much for your kind comments on our tour. Both Toshi and I were extremely happy to work for such a lovely family as you. We shared a great day! You were very lucky to see a full view of Mt. Fuji from different angles through Arakura Sengen Park, Lake Shoji, Lake Sai and Lake Kawaguchi although we did not manage to see the sunset over Mt. Fuji from Lake Yamanaka due to the suddenly changed weather. Not many people are as lucky as you because Mt. Fuji is notoriously shy, often hiding behind low hanging clouds. We very much enjoyed interesting conversations with you on various issues. As you are a genuine intellectual of great insight, we learned a lot on the political and economic situation in South East Asia from you, most of which are not often covered by neither Japanese nor international media. As I need to send some photos of the sunset on Mt. Fuji to you, could you kindly send a simple or empty message to my email account which you can find in my business card (I do not have your e-mail account)? I wish a Happy New Year to you and your family. Please give our best regards to all of your lovely family. Best wishes, Takashi and Toshi
Excellent Trip !

In one word - Excellent Trip. The guide, the driver, the route, the narration - everything was great. The chartered tour is expensive but worth it - you decide to stop-start-halt-move-absolute freedom. I liked the chartered tour because it gave us privacy and ample scope to pursue my hobby - photography. So, if you can afford, go for this trip. You won't be disappointed. Last but not the least - our tour guide was terrific - well educated, polite, friendly and very informative. Will take this trip again during my next trip to Tokyo.

Thank you so much for your great comment. It was one of the very few perfect day with a panoramic view of the “shy” Mt. Fuji and the off season traffic have saved us a lot to condense all the best in one day too. We enjoyed the trip with you and thank you for your cooperation and patience to keep up with our schedule to maximize the spots we could cover. We were really lucky to cover all the spots in Hakone, Gotemba and even the five lakes in a day including being able to be on time for the Diamond-Fuji! All the clouds have been blown out when we arrived at each place too. I believe you have done many good things in the past to have all these lucky conditions to happen in a day! We are looking forward to seeing you again to customize and optimize your next tour around greater Tokyo.
Great day trip!

We spent a great day with Takashi (guide) and Toshi (driver) in the 5 lakes region. They planned the whole day according to our preferences. We got spectacular views of Mt. Fuji from the different sites. Traffic was very bad coming back due to culture day weekend, but they kept their positive attitude throughout.

Dear Natacha and Simon Thank you very much for your excellent comments on our tour. Yes, we spent a great day with you in the Mt Fuji five lakes area, which could not be nicer with such perfect weather. You were very lucky to see a full view of Mt. Fuji from different angles through visiting Arakura Sengen Park, Lake Sai, and Lake Kawaguchi. Not many people are as lucky as you because Mt. Fuji is notoriously shy, often hiding behind low hanging clouds. I am very glad to hear that you enjoyed all the activities including explosion of Narusawa Ice cave, Fugaku Wind cave and Aokigahara sea of forest. Both Toshi and I enjoyed talking with you and learned a lot from you especially about Switzerland, aircraft and photographing. All the best wishes for your future as a couple, Takashi

our guide Teddy (Tetsuya Ishida) was wonderful and so was the driver. They picked us up at our hotel in a comfortable minivan. They took us as close to Mt. Fuji as possible and the weather was gorgeous so we were able to see Mt. Fuij and take great pictures. The place he took us for lunch (special Hoto Noodle Soup) was in a high elevation with great views of mt. Fuji, and the noodle soup was delicious. We would highly recommend him and his driver.

I am happy that you enjoyed the tour and a day in Mt. Fuji Area. As you mentioned you had various unique experiences with our Van tour. You could savor great views of Mt. Toshi and Mt Fuji
, Oct 2019
Our family had a wonderfull days experience with Toshi. Very knowledgeable about the local areas and his love for the outdoors and japan was infectious. Mt Fuji was at her best for us so it was a totally amazing experience. Thank you Toshi, and a big thankyou to the tour operator Taijo who made the tour work for us as we booked it last minute.

Wonderful Trip--Fantastic Guide and Driver
, Oct 2019
We had the most wonderful private tour of Mt Fuji and Lake Kawaguchiko going to certain places where there were no crowds yet the most wonderful scenery with Mt Fuji in the background. The 400 step climb to the Pagoda at the beginning of the trip was the perfect start with glorious views of Mt Fuji. We also loved the Ice Cave, the walk through the forest and then the Wind Cave and then the local folk village. Lunch was also a treat with the restuarant uncrowded and the vegetable noodle dish indeed fit for a Samurai. Akio-San, the guide and Tachi-San, the driver, were exceptionally friendly, accomodating and informative and made the day very special. The beautiful weather also helped.

Dear Andrew and Anne Thank you very much for your wonderful comment to us. It is very kind of you. Mine and the driver’s family were all safe from the typhoon. I need to tell you how much I enjoyed the tour with both of you and how much I have learned about England from Anne. In spite of many destinations which are more than usual, we had an excellent and very efficient tour because of your cooperation. You were very powerful and have nice and fascinating personalities. As you know Mt, Fuji area is the World Heritage Site named: Fujisan, Sacred place and source of artistic inspiration. So, Gods might help us. In this season it’s a very rare case that Mt. Fuji could be seen all day long. I’m sorry that the rugby game England vs France was canceled, but fortunately, both teams qualified for the quarter-finals. Will you watch the next game on the 19th? Will it be the last day in Japan? I wish you enjoy the game. I will be praying for you to have a safe trip until you get back home. In the end, thank you for sharing a memorable day with me and I wish to meet nice guests like you again. Best regards Akio
Wonderful day trip to Kawaguchiko

Our trip to the Fuji five lakes area with Takashi was truly memorable. Takashi is a consummate professional and went truly above and beyond to make our trip a great experience for the entire family. While the weather was not quite optimal and Mount Fuji was barely visible, Takashi managed our expectations and figured out ways to make our trip interesting. He was extremely flexible and customized the itinerary to meet our objectives. Takashi’s suggestion to go to Iyashi Na Sato ( healing village) was a great one, and we go to experience life in rural Japan. I personally enjoyed conversing with Takashi on a range of topics regarding Japanese culture, customs and life Japan in general. Takashi also provided good suggestions for other places to visit during our stay in Japan. Our driver was also extremely professional and did a great job of navigating difficult traffic conditions to bring us back on time. A truly memorable trip! Thanks for the wonderful memories!

Dear Naresh Thank you very much for your excellent comments on our tour. It is very kind of you. I would like to take this opportunity to say how much I enjoyed guiding you and your family around the Fuji five lakes area. I was also pleased that you kindly mentioned our driver Toshi in your comments as he is an excellent driver with a good sense of humor. As you have a wide knowledge of Japan, it was a great pleasure for me to have discussed various issues about Japan with you. It is good to know that you especially liked visiting Iyashi No Sato (healing village). I vividly remember that an old lady working as a volunteer in the outdoor theme park gave you a postcard with a lovely picture and poem as a memento after we had a short conversation with her. I am very sure that she liked you and your family very much. I also enjoyed having such interesting intellectual conversation with you on wide ranges of global issues on the way back to Tokyo. I appreciate it very much as I learned a lot from you. I wish all the best for the rest of your stay in Japan. Please give my best regards to your wife and son. Takashi

The day started with the storm approaching the region. We were picked up right on time and left Tokyo city with the hopes of a great day. Our guide Teiji, fluent in English and French along with his Japanese was knowledgeable about all the little areas we visited making the trip historically, culturally and geographically very informative. We learnt a lot about the pilgrimage to Mt. Fuji and rain did not stop us. We even got a personalized tour views of the village and region with the perspective of the historic Eido period history. Then came the highlight, the clouds broke and our driver who was fantastic, along with our guide Teiji started chasing clearings for us to get a full view of the great mountain. We ran the 400 steps to the Lonely Planet view at the monument Pagoda and sat on a bench and absorbed the spectacular uncovering of Fujisan. We had great food along the way, picked up souvenirs and had a very comfortable ride back. This was worth every penny and the care and quality of the tour was one of the best we have been on. This tour is a must!! Our guide and driver made this very memorable.

Thank you Gopal for writing in such detail. Summer is very difficult to view the mountain but we were very fortunate to have seized the moment then also seeing such a beautiful double rainbow for a while. I always enjoy myself explaining about history and culture for anyone who is curious to know about our country and it really was my pleasure to guide and may thanks to having chosen our service out of so many activity providers. All the best in your journey and hope to seeing you again.

Excellent trip and guide Make sure you can go to mountain since some months if the year private cars not allowed Only buses, Our driver had a disability so we were able to go to top and see the peak, When you book make sure to ask to go to fifth station or ask for a tour with a lot off walking if that is what you like. The lakes around mountain are beautiful but going to top is best You can go above the clouds and the views are serene There is a brewery that. You can visit if you like Sake is cheap and it’s the good stuff
