I had a great time exploring and tasting the food from all these family run restaurants. Very traditional and homely feel to everything. I also would like to extend a special thanks to Yuko-san for taking good care of me an being an excellent tour guide. If you are a foodie like myself, and want to see a more traditional side to Japan then take this tour.

The tour was one of the best parts of our vacation. You barely see any other tourists on the Sunamachi Ginza Street and you get to try some really delicious food. Also our guide Sachimi was very friendly and was not only able to talk about the food but also about the history and culture of Japan. We were only 3 People and enjoyed the familiar atmosphere very much.

Amazing tour. The guide was very knowledgeable, entertaining, and informative. He knew the street very well, personally knew most of the staff at the restaurants we stopped at. The food was delicious, and my only regret is that I didn't come hungrier.

I really enjoyed this experience with the very friendly and expert guide Mr. Kazu-san. I was the only person signed up for that day, so it was a personal tour. He introduced me to many vendors along the street, visited their shops and small restaurants, gave histories of their businesses, and got to sample a wide variety of delicious foods. You will not walk away hungry on this tour!! I highly recommend this tour as you will see a slice of Tokyo most visitors miss out on.

This was such a fun (not to mention, delicious!) local experience with a very informative, knowledgeable guide! He also knew about the Japanese history and how it relates with the food. This tour begins with a bus ride with all kinds of locals to the Sunamachi Ginza area where you eat your way through the street trying Tempura, Yakitori, Oden, Odango, Japanese tea, etc. Not only is the guide well-read, but the local street vendors also have a lot of life experience they want to share with you. Overall, wonderful people and great food -- come hungry!

Great Tour and guide. Interesting to be shown the local food street and get an understanding of the products. Local shops were helpful and fun to talk to. Learnt about the many local desserts, enjoyed the products at the liquor store and thought the etiquette of not walking and eating was a great idea.

This was our second of three tours with this company, and we loved this tour as well! Our tour guide was kind, warm, and helpful. She encouraged us to answer questions and equally encouraged photo opportunities. This tour was slower paced and allowed a leisurely stroll through the Shopping Street. It allowed anyone interested to peer into the daily lives of a culture different than one's own, and embrace wonderful and traditional foods. As an extra bonus, it introduced us to the Tokyo bus system, since we all, as a group, boarded a city bus to get to where we needed to go. I loved this tour for the abundance of food we had plenty by the end, we were stuffed, the history of the shop stalls one stall even still used an abacus!, the kindness of the tour guide, and the glimpse into simple, daily activities.

It was such a great tour! Our guide Hero took us to a street where multiple locals expressed their surprise to see westerns. It was very local. Everyone was very friendly and the food was very yummy and interesting and we learned a lot. Great experience for our family of 4!

This tour was excellent!! I ended up being the only person booked that day, so it ended up being basically a private tour. Yuriko was very friendly and informative. The food was fantastic and the vendors very friendly. Yuriko did an excellent job at translating. Thoroughly recommend this tour for foodies or anyone wanting to appreciate traditional Japanese food.
