Excellent approach to a staple Japanese traditional ritual - The Tea Ceremony
Hani V
, Sep 2019
As part of my first visit to Japan, I wanted to attend a few traditional workshops that mostly represent the culinary Japanese tradition. The Tea ceremony is by far, one of the most typical rituals that is still ongoing, since the early days of the Samurai. Mika Soka Haneishi has a marvelous and meticulous manner in every single detail she shares. She has more than 23 years' experience when it comes to Chado (the Tea School) and I noticed this throughout the duration of the workshop. Mika San offers - in my opinion - a great value of an experience and an invitation to learn more about the Japanese art of preparing and drinking tea. As she said herself, it is not just about drinking tea, but it's the entire spiritual discipline that comes with it. Great experience that I would definitely recommend to anyone who visits Tokyo
