Begin your experience with a morning pickup from your central Tel Aviv hotel. Meet your friendly guide, hop inside your comfortable, air-conditioned coach and journey toward Jerusalem to start your tour.

As you travel, listen as your guide recounts tales of Jerusalem’s tangled history, and its place at the heart of the Jewish, Christian, and Muslim faiths.

Stop at the Mount of Olives to admire the splendid panoramas over walled Old Jerusalem. Take snaps and identify landmarks such as the Dome of the Rock at the Temple Mount Esplanade, the place where many believe heaven meets earth. 

Drive along the Kidron Valley and gaze out at the Garden of Gethsemane, where Jesus prayed the night before his crucifixion. Continue to Jerusalem’s walls and pass into the streets of the Old City. Stroll through the bustling Armenian Quarter and stop to view the Western Wall (Wailing Wall), where thousands of Jewish worshippers gather to pray.

The tour was great. The guide was helpful. It was very convenient that they picked us up at our hotel. And given the type of tour set off rather quickly once we transferred onto the main bugger bus. The tour guide was friendly, knowledgeable and entertaining. The downside is that you do have to make your own way back to Tel Aviv - which they tell you. and this can cost - especially on the Sabbath (from Friday after dusk to Sunday). Also, we don’t really go to Dome of the Rock- you just see it from the distance.

A great tour to see the most important spots of the city and well managed by the guide. The half day allows you to then leave and go back to explore a bit more on your own without time constraints. The only downside part is the shop and lunch spots they take the group to as its organised for tourists and not the best prices... But you are better on your own to discover other places.

This trip is good, except we were joined a half tour, actually. That means the group is seprated into two parts, we were the part stop at Jerusalem, and there is another part, will continue to the dead sea. So it will be a little confused if you don't know the process of the tour.

If you're short on time, it's a good way to hit the major highlights of Jerusalem. The guide was spirited and funny, and made the tour enjoyable. However, and other reviews mention this too, but I failed to read through... this tour ends in Jerusalem and does not take you back to Tel Aviv. My partner and I were surprised by this as we have taken numerous other tours through Viator before and never had this problem although this was the first half-day tour we had taken. Given that other reviewers expressed surprise at this, it has clearly happened before, so Viator should make it a point to announce on the bus prior to the tour starting that this is a one-way trip so that everyone is aware and can make alternative plans if necessary.

Bus travel service was poorly organised and took far too long - this was not identified in advance. The passenger reallocation at Tel Aviv bus terminus was chaotic. There was also no information that this tour excluded return travel from Jerusalem to Tel Aviv - we had to take a taxi in the circumstances. The itinerary covered on foot was,in effect, a route march with no opportunity to see sites, this tour should be extended to a full day. The tour guide was very knowledgeable.

This tour started out a bit rocky when my guide inquired as to my plans upon completion of my half-day tour. When I informed him that I intended to return to Tel Aviv and spend the day on the beach, he promptly inquired as to how I planned to return to Tel Aviv, as the half-day tour ends in Jerusalem...YIKES! So, my half-day tour turned into the full-day Jerusalem/Bethlehem tour...LOL! I simply paid the difference between the half-day and full-day tours (which, ironically, woul have been the same price paid had I taken a taxi back to Tel Aviv). With all of that said, I'm REALLY glad that I took this tour. Jerusalem is TREMENDOUSLY fascinating, and we only visited the old city. My guide was EXCEPTIONALLY knowledgeable and excellent at pointing out various interesting aspects of the city. From Jerusalem, I journeyed to Bethlehem with the rest of the tour participants, and I'm SOOOO glad I took adventage of this opportunity. While there isn't really anything special in Bethlehem, what I appreciated was the opportunity to see, first hand, the Palestinian perspective (as Bethlehem is a Palestinian territoy)...WOW! EYE-OPENING! For those choosing only the half-day trip, I simply encourage you to have a plan for getting back to Tel Aviv. Furthermore, I would simply suggest proceeding with the full-day trip. The difference is merely a few hours, and you're returned to your start point in Tel Aviv.

The half day tour was enough for us to see most of Jerusalem's old city. It was a bit of a mission to get from Jerusalem's old city / Jaffa Gate to the central bus station, but once there it was easy to get a bus back to Tel Aviv
