Begin your tour to Mount Etna with optional hotel pickup in Taormina in the morning. Meet your local guide and group, then transfer to Mount Etna to begin getting acquainted with one of Sicily's must-see attractions. 

Disembark at the foot of the active volcano, where you'll take a relaxed walk through the lava fields to see where lava and ash have flowed during past eruptions. Head down underground (helmet and flashlight included) to see some of the volcano's lava caves. 

After you've fully explored the otherworldly landscape, stop at a nearby chalet to refuel with a Sicilian sandwich, local wine, cake and an almond wine tasting.. 

Return to your hotel for drop-off.

Giuseppe was just amazing he made the tour! So knowledgeable, fun and welcoming! I would recommend this tour to everyone. The views are spectacular!!! You need warm clothing even in summer we went in January and very cold, 20 degrees at coast 4 degrees there. Some of the hiking is hard so you need to be physically fit. Wine and sandwich at the end was delicious and very welcomed.

This was a superb trip all the way through — from booking, through confirmation, to delivery of the trip as promised. Great value for the money. We enjoyed it immensely. Our guide, Eddie, was intelligent, good-natured, and well-versed on the history and constant evolution of the volcano, and was a fountain of information about Sicily and its people. Can’t recommend this tour highly enough!

Our trip was absolutely brilliant. There was me, my wife and our 14 year old lad and another couple with kids aged 7 and 11. Our guide was Ezio and he took us off in a Land Rover 4x4. He was a super guide and gave us lots of information and took us on a great walk plus a visit to a cave. We had a great lunch at the refuge and sat in the sun eating and drinking Etna wine. Would recommend this trio to anyone. Thanks Ezio!

Really enjoyed this tour. Our guide, Roberto, was 5star. Knowledgeable and personable. At first I thought it was pricey, but with pickup and drop off near our hotel, lunch (including wine and local liqueur), and really nearly 7 hours, it was worth it.

We had always wanted to climb Mt. Etna, and this was ideal for us. We are in our late 70s, and I didn't have hiking boots, but they were provided..free of charge. Also, lunch was included with wine. It was fun, delicious, and we could not have been happier. I have asthma but did not have a problem so we recommend it to everyone of all ages.
