Papeete's Waterfront waterway Segway
, Mar 2020
The tour guide was good. A very strong accent and a little hard to understand but very personable. It was a great tour for beginners and we had recruited 2 couples (4 people) from our cruise ship and none of them had ever ridden a segway before. There were lots of wide open spaces for practice and lots of area to have fun riding the machines. We really didn't go all that far---we could see our endpoint from our balcony on the ship. Compared to tours that we have done in other countries and cities (and we look for segway tours wherever we travel to) we would probably rate this as one of the poorest as far as things that we were able to see on the tour. It was basically just a pretty waterway boardwalk and beautiful park for children and residents to hang out----which is what it was advertised as---so really, we got what was advertised----just not as much as we had really hoped for! It was only about 1 hour and 10 minutes instead of 1 hour and 30 minutes.

This was a fun way to spend a morning while waiting for our cruise ship. Simon, our tour guide, was energetic and had much information to share.
