Utterly amazing, this tour was priceless

Could not have chosen a better tour or tour guide. Went boating and hiking around Tahiti iti and saw sights that 99% of tourists will never see.

Glad to make you part of the 1%, and you are right, most of the people coming to French Polynesia don’t really visit the peninsula. Take care my friend, Haunui.

Most amazing and unique tour in Tahiti and I've taken many. It took 1.5 hours to get to Tahiti Iti from Papeete but is was worth it. We boat surfed at the surfing championship site, snorkelers in amazing clear water with lots of fish and colorful color, and we hiked to an underground cave and swam. Great trip, well worth it!!!

This was amazing adventure. I highly recommend it for anyone visiting Tahiti. You have the opportunity to go where a car cannot. Spectacular! The couple that runs it are wonderful and want you to have a tremendous experience. So grateful we went on this half day trip.

The Teahupoo Boat tour is a must when visiting Tahiti. The couple that took us down the south Tahiti peninsula are super friendly and very informative. Everything you see in the description is spot on. Of course the tour depends on the weather which changes dramatically as the southern tip is approached. We are very happy with the tour, the price, the experience, etc. We will do it again on our next visit to Tahiti.

This was an outstanding tour. We got off to a rough start not realizing that the location of this tour was actually Tahiti-Iti and not on the main part of the island of Tahiti Nui. Thankfully one person in our group spoke French and helped us figure this out after a phone call. We were able to rent a car and drive the hour plus to the correct marina. As a side note, Avis car rental in Papeete provided excellent service. A taxi to the marina would have cost us 185, so a rental car was a much better option. The scenery on the way to the marina was gorgeous. The tour operator and his wife were waiting for us despite the delayed start. I must say Tahiti Iti is much more beautiful than the main part of the island. Looking at the scenery felt a bit like the movie Jurassic Park. It was so lush and untouched. There was a different type of beauty today compared to Bora Bora. Here it was the contrast of the lush green against the water. You did not see any hotels or restaurants. The parts we experienced today are not accessible by land only water. The water has many more shades of blue. This part of the island is where they hold international surfing championships. I took a photo from one location where the waves during surfing competition take place. Our guide took us first to a forest area. It reminded me of the rain forests we have been to in Australia. We had to get out of the boat in our water shoes and wade knee high through water and along rocks and through streams. Eventually hitting dry land. We climbed down into a cave.We did need to use deet. We tasted a ginger plant in the wild, saw various types of vegetation, and hibiscus flowering plants. Once we returned to the boat our guides wife had a beautiful spread of local food awaiting us. There was fresh coconut with banana slices, fresh mangos, and a spiky fruit you had to pull apart to get the fruit inside. Everything was delicious. Our guide showed us how you crack open a coconut, then take and squeeze the pulp to get the milky fluid out. The also grated the meat that was inside. There was also a spongy material that was eaten, that was a bit like eating Styrofoam. My favorite was the fresh coconut with banana slices and mango. After our snack break we boated to another location. We wore our water shoes, mask, and snorkel. We jumped in the ocean water, snorkeled to a reef area where we walked on the dead coral reef. Then we went to an area that was a bit deeper and the wife was with us for this portion. We had to go with the tide through a small opening in a rock, but once inside there are two waterfalls. It was an amazing experience. It almost had a blow hole type sound with the tide going in and out. I would not have tried this without a local person. Once we left this area we swam back to the boat tried to see as much of the ocean with fish and coral as we could because we knew our time was coming to an end. The scenery was so beautiful. I would highly recommend this tour if you feel the least bit adventurous and would like to experience some majestic scenery.

Our trip was amazing. The young man met us at the marina and took us for a wonderful tour of the southeast side of Tahiti. We also walked in the rain forest! We had a wonderful trip. Thank you!
