Snorkel St. John Tour from Sapphire and Margaritaville

The best snorkeling experience we’ve ever had, it was like swimming in an aquarium! The breakaway crew were incredible and the food was fantastic! Captain judi took us to 3 incredible locations and we saw a total of probably 20 sea turtles. I can’t recommend this enough. 7 hours in total, incredible food and unlimited drinks…I can’t believe it was only 130$ a person! 2 thumbs way up

We were on the Johnny Quest with Captain Danny Boy and first mate Mike, they were a lot of fun and really made the experience very enjoyable. There were 15 of us on the boat, which looks quite small at first, but there was plenty of room for all of us comfortably (for the most part). The continental breakfast was very light (Mike brought around a tray of pastries, then a tray of fruit and brought your choice of juice or water) - there were no plates for this, just take what you want and eat it from your hand. The snorkeling was super fun and we saw lots of cool fish and coral. I heard those that swam closer to the shore saw turtles as well, but we didn't swim that far up, so we missed the turtles. We snorkeled at the first stop for more than an hour, then had a lovely lunch buffet that featured a delicious veggie salad, a Caesar salad, shrimp, meats and cheeses to make sandwiches and brownie bites for dessert. All of the food was super yummy. Mike keeps the drinks flowing throughout the entire journey - the "Painkillers" were his specialty and boy were they yummy! (They were not strong drinks, which is probably smart since you want to be alert for the snorkeling!) After lunch was served, we found our second spot to snorkel, which was also super pretty. Our 3rd spot was near a reef of coral that was placed by the local university - that was pretty neat. Being that it's an intimate boat, you get to know your fellow "crew mates" and everyone had a really great time. I saw someone on here mentioned in a review that you need to use coral reef safe sunscreen (mineral sun screen), so we specifically purchased that at the water sport shop where we met in the morning (you should probably buy it elsewhere as I would imagine it would be cheaper, but we wanted to be sure to "mind our oceans".) I didn't see signs mentioning this at all and no one said anything about it, but we figured it was the right thing to do. Overall, this was a great experience and I would highly recommend it!! Oh, one last note...this is about a 6 hour experience and there is no bathroom on board, so... :-)

Amazing crew! They were not only knowledgeable but extremely friendly and funny. All the locations we visited to snorkel were extremely fun and we saw a wide variety of sea life. The painkillers and other alcoholic beverages along with the food were better than expected. I Would highly recommend this experience!

Captain Judy took us to awesome snorkel spots.. We saw many fish, rays and turtles. Lunch was great!! Quincy took care of everything we needed from snorkeling equipment to food and drinks. It was a perfect day.

Amazing time! The food (muffins, etc. for breakfast & a la cart subs/salad/veggies/shrimp for lunch) and drinks (OPEN BAR - painkillers, rum drinks, beer) were all exceptional. The spread was gorgeous especially for being on a boat. Can’t say enough how great Captain Dahny (sp?) and Eduardo were, very informative and made the trip even better. Took us to 3 great spots and we saw sea turtles, rays, and various tropical fish. 10/10 recommend!!

Great experience! Captain Judi and first mate Quincy took us to 3 beautiful spots. It was a bit choppy, but they found 3 really good spots for snorkeling and were extremely helpful. Lunch was great, plenty of fruit, shrimp, salad and sandwiches. Breakfast was just a few pastries, so I’d probably eat something prior to the boat. The open bar was very nice and you cannot beat the views from the boat!

Great trip. Boat was full but not cramped. Plenty of Fun facts about islands and local residents from Captain Nate. Well balanced sound track. Breakfast is pastries and fruit served in a decorative manner. Lunch spread stacks of ham turkey for build your own sandwich with shrimp Cesar salad fruit and brownie bites. Plenty of food left over so not feeling hungry. Plenty of unlimited drinks. Saw sea turtle, seahorse, ray, friendly shark, cuddle fish, lots of fishes, no lobster as they were more difficult to locate. The caption was fun and engaging and the mates are award winning on USVI. Beautiful secluded beach only accessible by boat was phenomenal and looked like the quintessential clear water and white sand beach. Would do it again!

Captain Danny Boy is amazing. He is friendly and focused on safety. It was fun. Food was great. Shrimp, salad, fruit, veggies, and sandwiches.

Amazing experience! Saw sea turtles, sting rays and the most beautiful beaches! Best day of our trip without a doubt.
