This activity will end right where it started.The start time is on request since this is a private tour. If not arranged differently, the meeting point is 23 Hrvatskog narodnog preporoda Split by the bronze map of the city. This is the main waterfront called Riva. We meet cruise ship guests at The Port of Split. We also meet our guests at any apartment/hotel that is located in The Old Town of Split. For those staying outside the Old Town we meet them at the main waterfront called Riva as described in a meeting point section.

  • With the travellers using strollers, wheelchairs and scooters the tour is adapted since the Old Town has areas with quite a few stairs. However, one can still see a lot and enjoy the tour despite not being able to access all points of interest.

Jelena - a fantastic way to start our Croatia touring!

Jelena was a fantastic tour guide and the best way to start our Croatia trip. She showed us around the Palace and surrounding streets, shared the history of Croatia, and gave us lots of tips for our future destinations. I was traveling with kids 13 and 11 years old, and Jelena was incredibly engaging to them as well. She was a teacher in a previous life, and that nurturing/educational way about her comes through. We really enjoyed our trip with her and would recommend her w/o reservation!

An awesome walking tour of Split!

Correspondence with my guide prior to tour was excellent, unfortunately, on the day of the tour my planned tour guide, Jelena was unwell, but organised another tour guid. Her name was Ina and she was fantastic. She was very knowledgable and passionate about Split and very considerate to my daughters and I in the heatwave. We enjoyed the tour and learnt a lot Split from her.

This was my first time in Split and I was so excited to see the Diocletian Palace. This tour did not disappoint! From the moment I booked, Jelena was extremely communicative. I received a text from her right away confirming the tour date and the meeting location and time. She reconfirmed a couple of days prior the tour and she met us promptly at the agreed location. Jelena was very informative and fun. She showed us all of the top spots in the Palace and took us around the beautiful streets of Split. She made sure to point out the best locations for photos and she balanced her narrative with a good bit of history and modern information. At the end of the tour she recommended some great lunch spots and a cool hike. As a cruise ship passenger, this tour was the perfect amount of time. We were able to complete the tour, hike to the top of the Marjan hill and have a leisurely lunch before returning to the ship. I highly recommend booking with Jelena!

Jelena was fantastic as soon as we booked. She was in constant contact with us and was extremely flexible to fit our schedule. Not only was she extremely knowledgeable about the extensive history of the area, she told us where the best cafes, restaurants, and chocolate places were to go. Additionally she helped us avoid tourist traps and even directed to the place with the best exchange rates. She is very personable and fun to hang out with. We had a great time. I suggest doing this tour early in the trip to get thoroughly aquatinted with city.

Jelena is a natural storyteller and made the Diocletian palace come to life. But her intellect and curiosity meant she was able to update us on politics and the economy too. Given this was our first trip to Croatia, we really appreciated the breadth of her conversation.

The private tour made it easier to maneuver through the large crowds and get an appreciation for Split. Jelena is friendly and knowledgeable and does a great job of explaining the history and pointing out things you would have not noticed on your own or in a large group. She also gave great advice on restaurants and other things to do while in Split. Highly recommend.

This was one of the best tours ever. Let’s start by saying that the guide, Jelena was the best ever. Spoke perfect English, was personable, entertaining, intelligence, and gave the most interesting tour ever. She found us and knows everyone in split. This make the tour even better. She showed us everything that was possible to see in the 3 or so hours. We learned so much. Fantastic!!!
