Begin your day trip with pickup in central Siena. Meet your guide and hop aboard your minivan, setting off toward Montalcino.

Travel into the Tuscan hills and stop first at a small winery for a walk among the vineyards. Swirl and sip the famous Brunello di Montalcino, and check out the cellars with your guide.

Next, arrive in the town of Montalcino, the region’s namesake. Soak up some free time to roam the area independently, enjoying the views of the valley below, perusing the shops or tasting more of the celebrated Brunello wines.

Afterward, journey to a family-run winery, where you’ll meet the winemakers. Delve into some of the region’s culinary favorites with a lunch of antipasti, pasta or risotto and dessert, complemented by delicious local wines.

Appetites sated, continue to the ancient Benedictine abbey of Sant'Antimo. Learn about the stunning structure’s history as you follow your guide inside. On occasion, visitors will hear the monks singing Gregorian chants while taking in the scenery.

Top off your trip with a visit to a third winery for a fascinating lesson on production, the aging process and more. Take a seat for a final tasting before returning to Siena.

Great wine tasting.
, Oct 2021
Very good wine tasting. We visited three small wineries with a excellent guide — Daniele — who has a background in wine. He explained in detail about The Montalcino region, the wines produced and about wine in general. He is very knowledgeable and passionate about the subject. We also had a delicious lunch at the second winery. Cannot recommend this trip enough.
Great wine!

The views and winery were amazing. Wine was good too. Bread was super stale and olive oil would have been better if bread was better. I purchased some wine but not olive oils.
Fantastic day tasting Brunello wine
, Sep 2021
It was an amazing day in the Siena countryside. The scenery was fantastic and the three wineries we visited were very good. I had looked forward to this excursion for a long time and it was worth the wait.
You must do it!

Must do it! One can not say that you were in La Toscana if you don’t do this day trip I. The world of wines and food! Daniel was the best guide we could asked for! The love and passion for the land made the experience incredible! We had the most happy day, drinking wine and understanding the meaning of slow food and a how life is wonderful! I most warned you, after you have this tasting ordering wine in a restaurant will never be the same! ;)

Fantastic experience
, Aug 2021
We've had a fantastic tourguide; Daniele. He had a great story about everything you want to know, was very social and had great humor. He made sure everybody felt comfortable all the time and you could sense that he loves the job. He talked very passionate about it. We've had a delicious lunch at a small vineyard, also with the best wines.
One of highlights of our trip
, Aug 2021
This was probably one of the highlights of our two weeks in Italy. We wanted to do this tour, not just for wine, but also to see the Montalcino area without having to drive. There were 4 of us total in tour so very personal and small, which is always nice. It lasted about 9 hours so its definitely an all day tour. We went to three wineries, all different from each other so that made it interesting. We also went to an Abby and to the town of Montalcino so we could walk around. We had an amazing lunch with the most gracious host in one of the wineries in their house. It was so amazing. Our tour guy Daniele was so nice and informative and we really just had the best time. Highly recommend if you have the time.
Unique wineries
, Jun 2021
Tour took us to three very different wineries. We enjoyed the uniqueness of each one. Wonderful experience!
Three Unique Vineyards/Wineries
, Dec 2019
We visited three unique vineyards that provided a great overview to the Montalcino region. The second vineyard is where we had lunch with the family running the vineyard. Really enjoyed getting to know the unique characteristics of Brunello!
Great day
, Nov 2019
We really enjoyed the tour. The guide was energetic, knowledgeable and a great driver. We felt very safe. The vineyard selection was super and the lunch at the winemakers home was an experience we will never forget...great food, wine and conversation. Thank you for a great experience.
Small group was actually small
, Nov 2019
We usually avoid group tours. Don't avoid this one, though. It was small, informative, and fun. Recommended highly
