Fabulous day, a must do

I don't even know where to start, both sites were amazing, Villa Romana is breathtaking, still a mistery why it was built there, wonderful sights on the way. Agrigento with the Valley of the Temples is stunning, our guide was very pleasant and knowledgeable, we had a delicious light lunch, overall it was the highlight of our trip to Sicily.

This is a very long trip that provides an overview of a good part of Sicily and its Roman and Greek ruins. It was very worthwhile and the lunch was enjoyable. The point that was most distressing was that because there were only five people on the tour, there was no tour guide and the driver never provided any information at the ruin sites. Simply because you cannot fill the van, there is no reason why we, who have paid full fare for the trip, should have to suffer. Not a very good promotional plan. We later stopped in Paestum and instead of paying a fortune to have a guided tour, we took our own time visiting the site. It was great and didn't cost a fortune. I don't regret taking the Sicily tour, but think that some tour organizer decisions don't help your reputation.

Excellent trip with a careful and safe combination driver and guide. Unlike many, Josefina not only made sure we got where needed to be in a timely fashion, but safely. Some Sicilian roads are truly terrifying, as are some drivers.. Unfortunately, she did not accompany us thru Villa Romana del Casale, as there werent enough people in the group however, she did explain exactly what we needed to do. When we got to the Valley of the Temples, she turned us over to a local guide, Marco. I cannot praise Marco sufficiently. He has a deep knowledge of the site, and archeology I believe he works as as archeologist when he can get a gig and a huge enthusiasm for the history and background of the place. We were able to see and actually understand four different temples under his guidance. I only ding Viator one star: I really do believe Villa Romana would have been better with a guide. But that is not what was promised. We stopped for a quite good light meal between the two sites. Great work. Highly recommended.

This was a wonderful trip. A long day that was well worth it. Saw a lot of Sicily on the road to our destinations. Our lunch of antipasto was fresh, tasty and filling. We had just the right amount of time at each site. Our tour guide Josefina was incredibly knowledgeable, informative and engaging. She went above and beyond!
