Join up with your guide near the Plaza Virgen de los Reyes in Seville. Take in the ornate Archbishop’s Palace, one of the square’s showpiece buildings, and then start out on your 2-hour Game of Thrones exploration — a unique tour that you won’t find anywhere else.

As you walk and talk, discover why Seville made the ideal backdrop for the cult HBO TV series. Hear about the drama’s roots in George R. R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire stories that tell the sagas of noble families at war in the mythical land of Westeros.

Pass Seville Cathedral and its majestic Giralda bell tower, and then go inside the UNESCO-protected Alcázar of Seville, the 10th-century palace that was used as the Water Gardens of Dorne, the home of House Martell, in the fifth series of Game of Thrones. This glorious palace stands in pool- and fountain-dotted garden that seemed to perfectly represent the fictional Water Gardens.

Wander around the tile-coated rooms, and learn how they were adapted to serve as the home of Prince Oberyn Martell, the late ruler of the kingdom of Dorne. Hear intriguing behind-the-scenes snippets about the filming and stars of the 2014 series, and then meander around the gardens. See the tinkling fountains and walkways roamed by Doran Martell, and learn how some of the pools were tinted a vivid turquoise for the scenes.

After around two hours exploring, your tour ends at the start point.

Upgrade with Visit to Osuna and Lunch: (10 hours)

Keen to continue your Game of Thrones explorations? If so, upgrade to add a visit to Osuna after your Seville walking tour. Hop inside an air-conditioned car or minivan and drive to nearby Osuna, a pretty hilltop town that’s home to several filming locations used in the 2014 series.

When you arrive, set off to see some of the sites. View the historical bullring where the scenes and battles of Danzak’s Pit were shot, and tick through other locations such as the church, university and a local quarry.

Cap your sightseeing with a memorable Game of Thrones–inspired tapas lunch at a local restaurant. Savor tasty tidbits named after favorite characters and pair them with drinks (own expense). Your tour then concludes in Seville.

We were very excited about the tour...

We were very excited about the tour based on the description. First, our tour guide was unintelligible - we could not understand most of what he said. Second, his presentation was boring at best. Third, the tour has very little to do with the Game of Thrones. Except for showing us 3 photos on his iPad and a UTube video Game of Thrones in Seville, there was really no value to this tour. We feel misled and cheated. Waste of money. Better to pay the entrance and Audio Guide. We read previous reviews and felt assured that Viator had address the issues with their Vendor about the poor quality of the presentation. DON'T waste money on this tour.

Our guide was the sweetest thing...

Our guide was the sweetest thing ever. His english was a little hard to understand, but he was such an excited and enthusiastic tour guide. Although I thought this tour would have more insider information i.e. Jamie Lannister stood here, the Sand Snakes like to visit this tapas bar, etc, it was interesting how our guide compared the history of Dorne to the history of the Alcazar instead. I would have loved some pictures printed from the season in Dorne so we could see exactly where they filmed so I could clearly recreate them for my own person Game of Thrones memories. Overall, the place was beautiful, and it was nice getting there early before the crowd came in.

Hi Unfortunately I found...

Hi Unfortunately I found this tour extremely disappointing. The tour had very little if anything to do with Game of Thrones and our guide despite his best attempts was extremely hard to understand. The tour had a total of eight people who all seemed to have troubles understanding our guide. From the get go it seemed very unprofessional with the guide lining up to pay for our tickets rather than having it ready before hand unlike many other tours we'd been on. The tour was mainly about the history of Seville and history of the Alcazar itself although this was also very hard to understand. Finally, the water fountains which looked to be one of the more interesting parts of the tour was skipped completely. I would not recommend this tour to anyone. I would rather recommend just going to the Alcazar for a self guided tour which is what I ended up doing at the end of this guided tour. I hope this review helps anyone looking to do the same tour. Regards

Hello, The tour was...

Hello, The tour was extremely disappointing. Our guide was very nice but unfortunately did not speak English even remotely well. We did not understand most of what he was saying, although he made alot of effort to explain to us. In the end we were just nodding. Also the tour had barely any game of thrones insight, except for only one site on the tour. We could have bought the tickets to the castle ourselves and took the audio guide and we probably would have learned more than we did during this tour... This is very disappointing as I had booked this tour with complete trust in viator. Thank you, Hani Chaabo

Thank you for your feedback. We are really sorry this tour was not what you expected. We are talking to the local provider to ensure their guides are fluent in English, as well as familiar with GOT sites and scenes, so that you can relate what you see with the TV scenes.

My son is a Game of Thrones fan me...

My son is a Game of Thrones fan me, not so much so we booked this trip and I was pleasantly surprised. The trip focuses mostly in the Alcazar of Seville - our guide had a tablet with scenes from Game of Thrones which he would show us when we were in the spot that the filming occured. Along with some interesting tidbits about when the cast was filming in the area, our guide was very knowledgable about real world history which made this interesting and worthwhile for me as well. Plan on staying at the Alcazar after the tour as there is plenty more to see and there are no return priviledges with the admission ticket. Please note that we did not do the optional trip to Osuna.
