Productive Day in Tangier
Jill_B
, Mar 2020
A ton packed into one day in Tangier. You certainly get your money’s worth. Some things were a little gimmicky but without the guide, we would never have seen as much as we did in one day so the sales pitches were worth it. I also would have appreciated some more free time to shop but again, worth it to see Tangier in one day. Would recommend comfortable sturdy shoes, water bottle and snacks as you are only given lunch and the day was from 7am-10pm. Overall a very productive, fun and educational day!

Seville to Tangier in a Day
Ruth_M
, Mar 2020
It was fast paced, interesting and fun - Rashid knows how to keep the group happy while moving right along! We saw the the sights -had a camel ride - ate lunch -walked through the souk and learned some history! However - two sales pitches are too many for the short amount of time we had to spend in Tangier! I could tolerate one - but the second one at the argon oil place was really over the top and dampened my enthusiasm somewhat.

A Memorable Day in Tangier
todd
, Jan 2020
Yes, it’s a long day, but all transfers were smooth and the experience was memorable and well worth it. Our guide, Rashid, was knowledgeable, warm, and attentive. We traversed the city at a steady but reasonable clip, covering lots of history and local flavor. Yes, there are commercially driven visits, but Rashid was up front about all of it. Lunch was good, the views of the city were spectacular, and the opportunity to spend a day in Tangier was well worth it. We are intrepid and experienced travelers. There’s no way we could have successfully navigated the whole thing as we did with Rashid. I would have loved to have had more than a day to visit, but that’s what we had, and we crushed it. Our driver who took us back and forth to Tarifa was perfect as well, very attentive and friendly as well. A rich experience that we will savor. Good travel leaves you wanting for more-on to the next adventure.

SCAM AND SAFETY ISSUE!!!!!!!

DO NOT BOOK THIS TOUR IT IS A SCAM!!! ALSO DANGEROUS! I would give this 0 stars, but it won’t let me. So I guess 1 star because I got to Morocco and back? But not without hassle... The day started earlier than was booked (pickup was supposed to be 0730 but was changed to 0630, and was only changed to that 2 days in advance). Isaac said would be with us the whole tour, but when we got to the port he said he “forgot his passport” and could no longer go with us. Convenient how that happened when he re-arranged what city our ferry would go to (this was overheard by others on the tour). After being picked up, we were brought to Algeciras harbor, which was NOT Tarifa harbor. Tarifa ferries bring people to Tangiers. Algeciras ferries go to Ceuta. Ceuta is obviously NOT Tangier, which is where this tour is supposed to go. Upon arriving in Ceuta, our guide (Mohammed) took our passports and gave them to Moroccan customs. Mohammed told us we could not have our passports until the end of the day when we returned. This meant all of us were stranded in Morocco for the day without any proper identification methods or visa paperwork. This is ABSOLUTELY IREESPONSIBLE of the guide and tour company (tour company in Morocco was Flandria, which was different from Naturanda, the overall tour company. Both are problems because both are responsible). We were forced to continue with no passports (we were stuck on a moving bus at this point, and they refused to return for our passports). Mohammed informed of our itinerary for the day which was: drive to his home town where we would walk through the city with no explanation of history or culture, visit his friend’s carpet shop where his friend would try to sell us carpets, and eat lunch. Then we would continue to Tangier where we would be able to walk around for 45 minutes before returning to Ceuta. This was NOT the tour any of us had booked. The tour all of us had booked was a ferry from Tarifa to Tangier, and a day in Tangier that included riding camels, entry to the Hercules Cave, and entry to the Medina of Tangier. After this “tour” that moment of us booked (and also had no information presented of Moroccan history or culture), we made it back to Ceuta, where we thankfully were able to get our passports back from whomever held onto them (we were never told).

Dear emilyschroeder121389, First of all, thank you very much for your time writing this complete and long review. For Naturanda is really important to know the opinion of all customers because this way we can improve our services. The day after the tour we understood perfectly your disagreement, and that is why we proceeded with a refund. Sorry for any incovenience caused in the tour changes. We hope the rest of your holidays were great. Sincerely, Pablo

Although a bit of time traveling from Seville, everything went smoothly and according to plan. The best part of the whole excursion were our tour guides Catherine and Rasheed. They had the best laughs and positive attitudes.

FULL DAY TOUR TANGIER FROM SEVILLE
Sal C

This trip was 17 hours long. We met at the tourist office at 7am and we returned to my hotel at midnight without any dinner. You must be extremely physically fit to take this tour. any person who has heart problems, breathing problems, foot or walking problems should not take this tour. Viator must be totally honest and tell people what to expect. The tour guide Isaac was excellent and always looked out for the welfare of his tourists.

I really enjoyed our tour guide Issac because he was very nice and helpful. We did what most people would find stressful which is keeping a group of 30 people together to cross from Tarifa to Tangiers and then keep the group to have lunch. Great. The one older gentleman that called him self John Travolta was fun. He was an older gentleman in a grey robe and he was very informative and offered help in purchasing things. The second guide translator guy at the near end really stunk big young guy and I wish he never put us in a room to listen to a guy guy sell us Argon oil. I guess he thought saffron and argon oil was the same. No big deal I am happy we didn’t have him in the big inning. Otherwise breaking down the prices the deal and value was there especially considering taking the cap separately from the ferry and the meal . A real good value and fun people on trip. I loved the ride down to Tarifa and seeing the country side really beautiful.

Day in Africa

The trip is a value when one considers the time involved. We left Seville around 0730 and returned around 2300. The bus ride was comfortable and our hostess was very pleasant Upon arrival at the ferry, we had to go through customs (which isn't pleasant in any circumstances) and board the ferry boat which was clean but non memorable. Upon arriving in Tangier, we boarded a bus which was hosted by a local guide. He Spanish was good and his English was fair. He offered some guidance but not a lot of value. Nice guy; none the less. The bus ride to us past some nicer homes in the hills until we met a clearing for those that had to get the camel ride experience. To me, a waste of time. We continued to some caves which was interesting. The good news, all were brief. We then continued to the main part of town where we exited for lunch. We entered an establishment solely for tourists and had couscous topped with vegetables and chicken (along with some chicken skewers. We were then lead to a building which looked to be a fabricated medical / Pharma facility and given a presentation of Moroccan goods. This was a soft sell but, in my mind, was a total waist of an hour of time. We then were lead to the main market place where we had less than an hour to wonder the markets. We returned to customs and boarded the bus. The trip was worth the money if you want to see Morocco from Seville. I would rather see the company offer an option where one has the complete freedom to wander the streets and eat rather than being herded around with little to no shopping time.

Amazing experience

We had the fabulous day albeit very long. Our guide Lapinta was awesome. She was always making sure everyone was having a great time and her explanations along the way were brilliant. We were greeted by the Moroccan guide Rasheed who accompanied us along with Lapinta for the Moroccan part of the day and he was also a delight. The sights and experiences were wonderful. The only negative I might make is that the lunch included in the tour was in my opinion far from typical. It was so touristy and the waiter kept pushing for a tip as well as the musicians that were playing kept passing around a tray for payment. The food was uninteresting and bland so maybe a more traditional eating place might be better as the restaurant was filled to capacity with bus tour patrons. All in all a great value for money tour that lasted 17 hours.
