Historical Italica: Half-Day Guided Walking Tour from Seville

The tour was very interesting, and our guide, Miguel, was very professional, knowledgeable, and such a nice person. The tour started on time, we were in a very clean van. Miguel was a very safe driver. Italica is quite close to the center of the city, so it’s not a long drive. We were told many interesting facts about the ruins, and given lots of time to take pictures. The Monestary was also quite interesting; lots of beautiful sights inside like the cathedrals in the city. So glad we booked this tour, and glad we were matched with Naturanda tour company and our guide, Miguel. A very wonderful half day spent in Italica!

The operator tour Naturanda was good, they arrive a little bit late, but Carlos was a great guide, and make the experience very interesting. The history in the place was great, they bring an small detail: tapa and orange wine, they were really good. The second place is the monastery, it’s less interesting than Italica history but it was fine.

I decided to the trip as I had a spare half a day before leaving Sevilla. The trip was as described in the itinerary: we were picked up from a specified location, driven to Itálica, had a break for a drink and went to see the monastery nearby and taken back to Sevilla. The guide was knowledgable. The bonus was her sense of humour. I would recommend the trip.

This tour as absolutely fabulous and our guide Montse really brought the history of Italica to life, she was excellent. We spent about two hours at the site, plus we had an additional visit to the incredible Monastery of San Isidoro del Campo, which was about five minutes drive away from Italica. I can't recommend this tour highly enough.

Due to our central location, we were able to arrange hotel pickup. Awesome! The bus was on time. Italica is only 10 to 15 minutes from Seville so most of the tour time is spent at the sites which was a bonus. Estela knows her stuff and was an excellent guide. There was time allowed for wondering through the ruins of the amphitheater to take some amazing photos. Pleasant surprise was beverage and tapas at bar across from the Italica before making our way to the monestario. We knew the monestario was included in the tour, but weren't really interested. Once we got there we were amazed by how beautiful it was, very impressive! A must see! This tour was worth every penny!

Even though it is not Pompei, Italica is a fascinating place to visit. The history of the town was well described by Estella our tour guide. The ruins, mosaics and especially the amphitheater were in sufficient condition to visualize the town at its glory days. The monestery we visited after the town wss also interesting and with many photo worthy sections. If you have time it is definitely worgh a visit

We had full three days in Seville which is plenty to see the main attractions. I booked this trip as we had a spare half day and I am so glad we did. I had never heard of Italica before our trip to Seville. The ruins are impressive. The (remaining) mosaics are beautiful. However, the amphitheatre is the star attraction. On the way back we called in at a monastery which was very interesting and a lot more impressive inside than it appeared from the outside. There is also a final stop for a welcome drink. If you are interested in history and archaeology (and you have time) - book this to!ur Italica has a theatre which is located some distance from the rest of the town; this is not visited as part of this tour which is a shame as I have seen pictures and it looks amazing.

This trip is a must if you like history, Italica was remarkably well preserved considering it doesn’t have UNESCO status. Whilst we were there we saw archaeologists digging and cleaning mosaics, so I would assume the site will become larger over time. Our guide Reyes was an archaeology student and very knowledgeable, adding a touch of humour to bring to life the Roman site. The trip to the monastery and bodegas was a lovely additional bonus, again we weren’t expecting the detailed information we were furnished. Lovely well organised trip, the best day out from Seville we had, it exceeded our expectations and would thoroughly recommend. Oh and yes italica is not a game of thrones theme park it’s a important historical site integral to the Roman Spanish history, you cannot help by impressed by the dragon pit... sorry I mean the amphitheater!

Our guide was key to the success of this tour. She was very knowledgeable and interesting. Her name is Patricia and was great. Every aspect of the tour worked well. Nice bus and clearly marked. We left once everyone was onboard. Italica did not disappoint. I would highly recommend. Patricia was perfect for this trip

Excellent trip. Efficient, professional and knowledgeable guides. Italica is one of the better Roman ruins I have visited and a great chance to see a little of Spain outside of Seville. The monestary is also very interesting with a lot of history and the guide was very knowledgeable and informative. I would certainly recommend this tour if you want to see something other than the sites of Seville.
