This tour covers a lot of ground in and around Grand Canyon National Park, so its an early morning pickup from your Flagstaff or Sedona hotel to kick off your day of travel via mini-coach.

Wupatki National Monument is your first major stop. As your guide explains, the ancient Native American civilization of Sinagua lived here for 400 years. Then ancient desert dwellers witnessed the dramatic eruption of Sunset Crater Volcano nearly a millennium ago, which destroyed their homes and forced them out. Your tour includes a visit to the lava fields at Sunset Crater Volcano National Monument.

Take a break from touring with a stop for lunch at the historic Cameron Trading Post. The view of the Little Colorado River Gorge from the deck here is especially striking.

After lunch, re-board your mini-coach to head into the Grand Canyon for an afternoon of exploring this magnificent natural wonder. Stop at lookout points along the canyon's East Rim and South Room for dramatic vistas of gorges below. There's time at leisure for exploring on your own at your own pace.

Throughout the entire day, whether you're exploring by foot or on the mini-coach, your expert guide teaches you about the history, archaeology, geology, and flora and fauna of the Grand Canyon and the surrounding area.

Small Group Grand Canyon Tour

Our Small Group Grand Canyon tour with our guide - Jason- was AWESOME !! We traveled to Sunset Crater first to the lava field and crater created by the eruption of a volcano about 1000 yrs. ago . It was educational and beautiful . Then on to the Grand Canyon ! Words cannot describe the beauty and splendor of this masterpiece created by nature ! It was a long day , but Jason’s knowledge of the area and actual experiences he shared with us was so interesting and entertaining . I highly recommend this tour who wants to experience the awe inspiring beauty of our great country .

Bad choice- covid alert!

Mike was an excellent driver and tour guide. We found the vehicle very uncomfortable and the seats were soiled. The air conditioning was inadequate. Considering that the tour lasted 12 hours, we did not feel that we spent adequate time at the Grand Canyon which was our main reason for booking this tour. We did four stops but we would’ve liked to have seen the village and to have spent more time there. I was very uncomfortable since there was no request for masks for unvaccinated people. I did not know who else was on the Closed in bus with us and I was sorry I had booked this tour.

We are happy that you enjoyed your experience with our guide. We offer a minimum of four stops plus a trip to the village and are addressing tour flow with this guide so that he might provide an improved itinerary to future guests. Our administrative team informs all guests prior to tour of our COVID policy which has been in place since last year. Additionally, all members of our team have been informed of our policy which is posted and readily available. We also provide extra masks for each tour so that all guests can be safe during the course of the tour. Your guide has been pulled from the schedule for re-training. This is not the tour experience we are known to provide and it is our sincere hope that should you travel to Arizona in the future you will allow us to demonstrate the quality of tour that we have been providing for many years to thousands of travelers.

Would not do again

COVID protocols poor. Driver/guide reluctantly wore mask upon request and half- heartedly requested others do the same. Not what I was assured beforehand. The tour itself was average. The guide was quite knowledgeable but talked incessantly without accurately reading the needs of his audience. All in all, not worth it and do not recommend.
icon Response from Host , Sep 2021
Dear Valued Guest, We appreciate you taking the time to bring these issues to our attention. We have company COVID policies in place that we have provided to all vendors and employees-to include guides; this is the reason our admin team addresses this with our guests prior to the tour. Your guide's reluctant compliance has been addressed with him directly and he has been pulled from the schedule for COVID policy review. This is not the tour we are known to provide. This particular tour is in fact in the top 10% of all activities booked worldwide with this vendor. I would hope that you would give us the opportunity in some future to show you the high caliber experience we routinely deliver to our guests.

Excellent Vantage points and 900 yr old ruins

This was a great tour. If you want to see the Grand Canyon from excellent vantage points this is for you. It was a drive alright, but our guide, Matt, told very entertaining and memorable stories and helped the time in the van go by. The Wupatki National Monument was incredible. Ruins are fascinating and there were cooking tools (metate for grinding corn) and a ball court.

What a wonderful experience! Our group of six joined two other couples on this trip. Our guide, Ty, was knowledgeable and entertaining. He was aware of the perfect pacing for our group and attended to our needs throughout the day. The views were spectacular and the day was enjoyed by all.
