Overview

Explore the natural wonders of Antelope Canyon, a narrow slot canyon carved by wind and water through the ages. A Navajo guide helps you photograph the shifting light and creamy colors of the sandstone canyon, a must-see amid the splendor of the American Southwest. Views of Glen Dam, Lake Powell, and Horseshoe Bend are included en route from Sedona.
  • Drive through the Painted Desert and Navajo Nation
  • Visit Glen Canyon Dam and Horseshoe Bend with views of the Colorado River
  • Hotel pickup and drop-off included from Sedona
  • Lunch and bottled water provided

Why Travelers Choose This Tour

A good alternative to the Grand Canyon, this tour shows you more of Arizona’s landscape with a Navajo guide.
Start your full-day tour with pickup at your hotel in Sedona. The drive to the Navajo Nation takes you through Oak Creek Canyon via a National Scenic Byway. View ancient volcanoes and the aptly named rock formations of the Painted Desert en route to Antelope Canyon.

On arrival, follow a Navajo guide into the narrow, twisting sandstone cliffs of the 120-foot-deep (27-meter) canyon, where sunlight descends in dramatic shafts. Watch it illuminate the walls of the slot canyon in shifting yellow, orange, and violet hues, and learn to best capture the vivid scene on camera.

Make a stop at the Cameron Trading Post, where Zuni, Hopi, and Navajo artists sell silver jewelry, pottery, and other artisan crafts. Eat a provided boxed lunch at Glen Dam with a majestic view of Lake Powell on one side and a glimpse into the depths of Glen Dam Gorge on the other. Hike up to Horseshoe Bend for dramatic views of the Colorado River from above, then continue on with return transport to your hotel.

There's no better way to experience the Antelope Canyons & Horseshoe Bend than this way!! I thought I could do it myself but there are small things you need to know to enhance your experience! Our tour guide JR is the best I've seen in years!! Not only was he friendly, accomodsting and funny for nearly 6 hours(2.5-3hrs up &down) He was like a historian of all of the surrounding areas!! He has been in Sedona and surrounding areas for nearly 60+ years so he was extremely helpful in helping guide us to having the best possible exposure experience! Ask for JR he will make your visit magical

Our tour guide Bert was excellent. He’s very knowledgeable about the northern Arizona area. We had a great tour at antelope canyon with the Navaho tribe member. He got us great pics in the canyon! Lunch was ok but could be better. Overall was an awesome day trip! Bert played some great tribal music on the ride back, very soothing!

Antelope Canyon was the best

Horseshoe Bend and Antelope Canyon are definitely places to see on your visit in Sedona. The view at Horseshoe Bend was phenomenal. The beauty was unbelievable. Antelope canyon is also a must see. Leland, our guide at Antelope Canyon, was both professional as well as helpful. He had an exceptional knowledge of the canyon. Leland knew exactly where and how to get the best pictures. I strongly recommend visiting Antelope Canyon, especially during the midday hours of 12-2. Those hours provide the best lighting for awesome pictures.. Our guide from Arizona Tours, Burton (Burt) also was very knowledgeable in the city of Sedona. Although the drive was long, he provided entertainment throughout..

Loved this tour. Anthony was a great guide in the cave and helped us take wonderful photos while in the cave. It’s a long way out but worth it! JR was a great driver and kept us entertained all day.

Antelope Canyon and Horse Shoe Bend are stunning and certainly worth a visit. I understand that interest in Antelope Canyon has grown substantially in the last decade, resulting in a bit of a touristy feel. There will be multiple guided groups of 12-14 touring with you. There’s a bit more space at Horse Shoe Bend, but still crowds of tourists even in the off -season. If you’re booking from Sedona, it is a 3 hour drive each way. Plenty of good views to enjoy and Sheldon, our guide, provided great commentary along the way. The passenger van is a bit tight. You’ll be shoulder to shoulder with someone, so make sure it’s someone you like! Lol!

This was by far one of the best excursions I have ever taken. Very well organized with so much pure natural beauty. Antelope canyon is truly indescribable and the pictures don't really do justice to the wonder and beauty. Our guide, Lynn, was both knowledgeable and fun. My only recommendation would be to allow for more time at Horseshoe Bend. I could have used more time there to soak in the beauty. Otherwise it was spectacular. Definitely a "must do"!
