This was a pretty bad experience, and I have been on many great food tours through Viator and competing sites. First, I requested and English guide and the guide was not able to communicate in English very well. Luckily my wife speaks Japanese, otherwise the tour would have been a complete loss. The guide was very quiet the entire tour, did not tell us any information about the neighborhoods or restaurants, and generally not engaging at all. The second restaurant she tried to take us to was no longer in business, so she took us to a department store restaurant floor and told us to pick one we wanted to try. This was ridiculous - the guide is suppose to chose places locals enjoy. We cut the tour short before dessert because it was so awkward. I would not recommend this tour.
