Overview

Visit the Cajón del Maipo, El Yeso Dam, and mountain hot springs on a full-day tour from Santiago into a dramatic gorge flanked by high peaks. With a picnic lunch and wine served by a gorgeous alpine lake, this tour is a relaxing alternative to more strenuous mountain tours, and all transport is in the comfort of a climate controlled minivan.

Enjoyable

The two guys hosting the tour were friendly and enthusiastic about there job which always sells it for me. Overall a good day out even though I was the only English speaker amongst a group of Brazilians so Portuguese was the main language of tour but to be fair they translated the main bits for me. Left them a tip so I guess that sums it up in a nutshell

amazing trip

the trip was absolutely amazing! We enjoyed a very nice road trip with detailed and explained information about the region and the local culture. The food was good, the organisation was good, the guide was good, the bathing was good... everything was great, I highly recommend this visit to enjoy a great day into the wildness of La Cordillera de los Andes.

Tour is catered to Portuguese and Spanish speakers. I asked for an English tour and it was average, he would speak in depth about the area in Spanish and then speak about the area to me and would always say “just to summarise” which was true, it wasn’t in depth as it was for them. Eat breakfast set before and bring your own lunch, snack and water. Advertisement is misleading as it says lunch and picnic is included....picnic is crackers, cheese, salami and wine. Lunch is 10,000 pesos extra. El yeso dam wasn’t included in the tour due to it being closed from something but was only told on the day and didn’t receive any heads up even though they send multiple emails and messages to me. All other sights were beautiful and defiantly worth a trip! For English speakers if their is a cheaper tour, take that as your mostly just getting a drive there and back.

A strong solid "Good"

The vistas are perfect, management of the trip is mostly ok.It's better to take water and food with you, since both the long trip and the promised "lunch" definetely leaves you starving. Another recomendation - if you have some exposure to "road-sickness", better take some pills against that, since the road is quite curvy and hard.
