My only bad viator experience

We expected some orientation to the rainforest and some hiking, but the information was sparse and the 100 meter walk to the waterfalls was less than the description led us to believe.

Not worth the time and money

Not worth the money. We weren’t taken to the rainforest itself, but to a private property within the rainforest, then to another one behind a house. Nothing like the pictures you have seen. Not even a full day, by the time they are done picking up people.

Beautiful all around

Our tour guide was wonderful and hotel pickup was super easy. We had plenty of time to view the waterfall and take pictures in the river. Luquillo Beach is also beautiful and there are lots of nice little restaurants and bars along the shore. If you plan to swim in the river or on the beach, I suggest wearing your swimsuit under loose shorts (your feet will get dirty and you don’t want to have your feet scrape the inside of the leggings) a tshirt. There’s no place to change (unless you don’t mind changing in front of everyone in the open forest like I did). Bring bug spray, even though there aren’t a ton of bugs. Also wear sneakers or shoes that you can wear in the water over sharp rocks.

A trip worth taking!

My girlfriend and I had a wonderful time on the tour. We Booked everything the day before and still were able to be accomodated. The weather was beautiful on the day of the trip so that was perfect, and the rain forest and beach were beautiful. Our host was Noel who was excellent. He took us to local places to get food and snacks. He made us feel comfortable, and we even gotto meet his family. We enjoyed the history of the island and the rainforest he provided. He had a good sense of humor and he even jumped in the river to make some of the people on the tour feel comfortable when they were nervous. Noel's wife also took great photos for the group and sent them to us right away. Only a few things we would say could be improved. Which are spending more time in the rain forest and the beach. Also adding a PA system in the Van's for better audio. Overall the experience was amazing!

Great day in the Rainforest!

My husband and I booked very last minute for this full-day tour. It was late in the evening (the night before) but I called and someone answered! She was very friendly, answered all my questions and booked the tour. The next day I had a call from our wonderful tour-guide, Rupert. We arranged to meet and he was there as planned. He was just great, telling us all about Puerto Rico along the ride to El Yunque. He was friendly, warm and was a treasure trove of information. If you go, ask him to talk about the movies!! The tour of the rainforest was great and we ended the day with a visit to a lovely beach. Then he drove the ten of us back to San Juan. As if that wasn't enough - my husband left his phone in the van and Rupert came back to drop it off. He was wonderful. Great experience!

Full-Day Yunque Rainforest and Luquillo Beach Adventure in San Juan

Drive to rain forest took way too long. We stopped for a pick-up around 20 minutes away from the forest and that added around a half-hour on to the commute. Tour guide needs to use a microphone. He could not be heard over the nose of the bus. I have been to Luquillo Beach in the past, and I know there are beautiful areas, but we were dropped off by food vendors and the beach are was useless. There was absolutely no need to spend time there. The food experience was good, though. The tour should be billed as a Rainforest/Food Adventure.

Thank you for your comments and suggestions. Due to the location of guest pickups, and other uncontrollable conditions that may arise, times are understandably approximated and are subject to adjustments. Regarding the beach portion of the tour, we have noted over the past few years that guess preferred to be taken directly to the food kiosks for lunch then walk down the beach to their preferred location. Before this, guess would be dropped off at the entrance area of the beach but then would have to walk to the kiosks for lunch. we understand individuals have preferences, and we are tasked with trying to cater to the majority. We Tour operators do strive to create a memorable, exciting, educational, fun experience for all. And again we thank you for your suggestions and will be taking them under serious consideration so that we may better our tour experience.

Very bad experience

It’s not even a full day tour, transportation bus was terrible, water leaking form air conditioning unit and emergency exits had a broken window and made noise entire journey. If it was raining we would have been wet inside the bus. Rainforest tour was named as full day, but it was 1:30 tour only. And they take to the beach which is very bad. Overall entire family disappointed for the price we have paid for this trip.

Thank you so much for your comments. We do appreciate them. Our company along with the other tour companies have scheduled inspections and maintenance on all of our vehicles. Because of this we rotate vehicles and are aware of scheduled maintenance for the buses and are currently being serviced. The tour itself, the rainforest and Beach tour is a full day approximately six to eight hours. in Puerto Rico, this is the description we all give this to her, as opposed to the half-day rainforest tour that only goes to the rainforest for a short time. We welcome any suggestions that you may like to see on the tour in the future. And we invite you to contact us directly for any future tours, as we are happy to explain the details as they appear on our website. Thank you again.
