Returns to original departure point
Zip around Old San Juan by Segway as you explore its top attractions on this 2-hour small-group tour. Take in incredible views of San Juan Bay, Castillo San Felipe del Morro and San Cristobal Fort, among others, as you learn the fascinating history of this 500-year-old settlement first started by the Spanish Empire.

Meet your group at Pier 2 in Old San Juan, the tour’s departure point. Your meeting time will vary depending on the tour option you select, leaving at either 10am, 1pm or 4pm. First grab your helmet and get a safety lesson on using the two-wheeled Segway from your guide, and take some time to get familiar with starting and stopping. From there you’re ready to roll, heading out into the streets of this picturesque colonial district.

Move along the area’s cobblestone streets and colorful facades, stopping for photos and for a military history lesson from your guide. Soon you’ll reach Darsenas Square, which provides panoramic views of modern San Juan and its bay, and then see the remains of the San Juan Gate, where you'll hear about the crucial role the city’s harbor once played in maritime defense.

Continue your ride along the hilly streets, stopping to admire the imposing walls of La Muralla, a 3-mile (5 km) long and 140-foot (43 m) high barrier that once served as the linchpin of Old San Juan’s military defenses.

Your tour then moves past some additional monuments, including the Cathedral of San Juan Bautista, site of the remains of famous Spanish explorer Ponce de Leon, who searched for the Fountain of Youth, as well as the Ballaja infantry barracks and the cannon battery of La Perla, which was eventually turned into a slaughterhouse. After a few more attraction stops, your tour finishes back at the departure point.

Highlight of my Trip
, Mar 2020
When folks ask about the best experience on my cruise, I tell them this was it. Fun, informative, great sights to experience. In 2 hours you effortlessly cover what would take a full day of walking. Tour starts out with thorough lessons, so when you hit the streets, you're safe and not held back by anyone. The guide was a local, kept the tour fun, but gave a full history of each sight we saw. A lot to take in, I'd go back next time in San Juan!

Can't speak to a person
, Mar 2020
We booked through violator and somehow the date got messed up we aren't even taking our cruise until March 21st which is one we are supposed to have the segway tour. When we called just to make sure things are on track that's when we found out the reservation date had been for February 10th. Viator was no good and would not help us at all, so I tried to call the segway shop in San Juan they have a voicemail that refers you to their website. I sent an email explaining my situation and haven't heard back from anyone. So I don't know that I can rate the tour at all but I can write my experience with viator and with this group and I can say that it hasn't been pleasant

Outstanding adventure
, Mar 2020
Outstanding adventure. Our guide was super into his home island & was excellent at showing/explaining the history. Most importantly he taught us how to ride the segway correctly in a fairly short period of time. Rockstar!

Wonderful time visiting the lovely town, stressing safety.
, Feb 2020
Not my first time, but the MOST thorough instruction and training ever ! There was plenty of off road practice so our group was ready for anything encountered like speed bumps, curbs, etc. Jose was very good at helping first timers as well as those more experienced. He took us to many neat historic locations, and we had views not available to automobile travelers. Just a great tour !

We Segway everywhere- one of the best
, Jan 2020
Our ship ported a week early. I contacted the Segway Tour by email the day before at 6pm and received a reply the they could fit us in the next day. The tour went all throughout old San Juan, to the Fort and to a church with great narrative using a vox system. Would absolutely do this tour again.

This was so much fun! We laughed and had a great experience all around old San Juan. Our tour guy was very knowledgeable and gave us lots of information and history; we said afterwards we should do this in every city we go to!

It was a hot day in Old San Juan so there was not better way to tour than Segway and no better tour guide than Jose. Great job!
