Culebrita beach

We got on a power catamaran that did not have sails. It was a good experience overall, but the lunch provided was minimal, but the drinks were good. $180 is a bit too expensive though when you have to swim to the beach, and can’t sit outside the boat. There was many people on this trip.

I did the excursion with my girl for Valentines Day the idea seemed romantic and breathtaking. Well I was VERY wrong They used a small boat instead of a actual catamaran boat 90 percent of the people got sea sick because of how strong the waves would hit us. At some point we went up as high as 4 feet from the water you can imagine how high we felt the drop. The staff was excellent but it doesn’t make up for all the cons of this trip. FYI if you can’t swim I don’t suggest you book this trip because when you arrive at Flamenco Isla Culebra you will have to swim to the beach then you basically have 1.5 hour at the beach then have to swim back to the boat.

Dear Rosa, We are saddened to learn your day did not went as expected, and we apologize for this. The situations you encountered are indeed advised as a disclaimer on our tour description: - Be advised that this tour, travels through open water where, at times choppy seas may be encountered. This trip may not be appropriate for those with recent surgeries, back injuries, and pregnant women. - Boat assigned for tour cannot be guaranteed as it will vary based on total amount of participants (can be from 35 up to 80 persons). - This tour does not arrive to a pier, you must swim in order to get to the shore. We do not sell nor mention this as a catamaran tour for the same reason, as we do not want to give any misleading information. Again, our apologies for the inconveniences you experienced. Kind regards,

Pros & Cons
albertkayla

There were a few pros & cons of the trip. Pros, friendly staff, very helpful, the beaches are of course beautiful, and I really enjoyed snorkeling, the reefs and seaweed were mostly brown but, there were plenty of colorful little fish to see and we even saw two stingrays! the Cons, unfortunately, were enough that I wouldn't book this again. My boyfriend and I chose the option of pickup, nice driver, nice private vehicle but WAY WAY to early. we were picked up at 0730, and the boat isn't even scheduled to leave till 0930. It's only an hour drive so sitting there waiting for the boat to take off was frustrating to say the least. The driver was nice and brought us to a subway for the bathroom and some breakfast to kill time but I wouldve rather slept in. The boat finally took off at 0940, we got to the snorkeling spot about 1045, they did some safety lesson and set up lunch and the open bar. we stayed there till 1200 and were at flamenco beach by 1215. keep in mind that the boat has to dock decently far from the beach about 50ft. So if you want to bring personal items, like your phone to take pictures, bring a good dry bag. Or be willing to buy an overpriced one from the boat. My boyfriend and I knew in advance because we read the majority of views, but I think it's kind of crappy that the company doesn't tell you that themselves. They only gave us till 1400 at the beach and since you have to swim there and back, & go over another safety briefing it felt like we had absolutely no time left on the beach. we were back at the dock by 1530 and home an hour later. If we had realized how much waiting the day would be, and how little beach time we would get we would've just taken the ferry in and spent our money more wisely. Also, we should've anticipated this but it definitely had a party vibe, good for a big group of friends. For a couple that had to wake up at 0630 and was exhausted and irritated about all the hours spent waiting, we weren't happy.

Not worth it

The tour was underwhelming - especially the snorkeling. Lunch was served super early (around 10:45 am) during the snorkeling portion, so depending on how long you took to eat, you really only had about 30-40 mins of snorkeling. However, you didn’t even need that much time because there wasn’t much to see. Once we arrived at Flamenco Beach, the boat could not get close and you had to swim a pretty decent distance to the beach (which meant, unless you had a dry bag, you couldn’t bring anything on the beach - no towel, no phone, etc.). REALLY wish that had been made clear beforehand. That would be a huge issue for someone not comfortable with swimming in the open ocean. We had about an hour on Flamenco Beach. Do Culebra on your own time for a better experience - we spent significantly more time commuting to and from than we did actually enjoying the beach.

Dear Diana, We are saddened to learn this activity did not met your expectations. Culebra's reefs are one of the most productive ecosystem in the planet, allowing always to spot some sort of marine life. Perhaps the water condition was not the most visible during your trip. Thank you for the gift of feedback, taking it in consideration we have revised the description in order to make it clear regards the swimming required part. Lunch is served midday and set up times may vary slightly. Even with the commuting time involved this tour serves a worthy experience if you are looking to avoid the hassle of flying or taking the public ferry, renting snorkeling equipment and taking care of your meals. Kind regards,

The best tour Ever

If you are hesitant about the spending the money don't be! This was our most favorite tour from the trip. It is worth the money and you will not be disappointed. Our driver Francisco was amazing and Bespoke Management was the best. I would book more tours directly with them. The boat ride was a little long on the way back but we got to snorkel near the coral at one stop and then the next was at Flamenco Beach. Perfect day! We would do this tour again for sure.

Beautiful beach and very helpful crew but could’ve been better

The overall experience was good. The flamenco beach was breathtaking and absolutely worth the long ride! The snorkeling was also fun but could’ve been more guided. The ride back was however not very comfortable, some people were getting too drunk and were becoming a nuisance to other passengers. I think they should’ve limited the number of drinks per person so everyone can enjoy the ride.
