Worst Customer Service

The company change my date for my tour with only a few hours of notice. I accepted the change because I was on a quick weekend getaway. I had to changed my entire plans to accommadate the tour. The next day there was an accident on the highway and we missed the trip. I called them to notify them and the lady was super rude and proceed to tell me that there was nothing she could do for us. This was suppose to my husband birthday gift to top it off. She stated that we could not reschedule the date for another tour and that we had just loss our money. The lady was immediately confrontational and disrespectful. The worst customer service I have experience.

Not much lighting this time but still good. Kayak out was great - beautiful stars and peaceful. Kayak back was not so fun as the canal was clogged up with my other groups.

We understand the mangrove canal can get crowded sometimes as it is the only way in and out of the bio bay. Our apologies for any inconvenience this could have caused to your experience.

Wonderful experience

I loved that we had a tarp placed over us to make the bioluminescent more visible. It was magical! And I also loved the glass bottom kayak. I didn't think I'd be able to see anything but swishing the water right under the kayak and seeing it through the glass was awesome!

Big Group made it less enjoyable.

I would have liked this experience quite a bit more with a much smaller group. I felt like all the way through the mangroves we were getting knocked into, or having to stop for tangled kayaks. We couldn't really focus on the actual experience because we were trying not to get hit in the face with rogue paddles. The lake is a cool experience, jellyfish was a highlight. I recommend going with a small/private tour to really get the most out of this trek.

Fairly average tour. Somewhat of a tourist trap. Not much English spoken. Poor lighting for return trip. Fairly rushed once we arrived at the bay

Less than amazing

The best part of the excursion was kayaking in the dark (which is not saying much) The tour was disorganized and they don’t ensure everyone is accounted for. Our group was confused where to go and the kayak trip there and back was chaos. It was 90 minutes with about 20 min at the spot where they plankton light up. Total duration from door to door is approx 5.5 hours. Unless you really love plankton then I would suggest skipping this tour and using your time to do something else.
icon Response from Host , Jan 2020
Dear Chris, We are sorry to learn the tour fell short on expectations and did not had its usual dynamic. Sometimes when we have many unexperienced kayakers the way to and back from the bay can turn challenging. We have experience conducting this tour for many years now, and understand this was an isolated case. We are saddened to know it happened during your tour that day.
