Small-group tour limited to 15 passengers ensures personalized attention
After pickup from selected hotels in San Francisco, board a comfortable minibus for the drive to Yosemite National Park. En route, make a snack stop among the fruit and nut orchards of the San Joaquin Valley before continuing on to the Sierra Nevada foothills and California Gold Country.
Entering the national park via historical Groveland, stop for a guided hike among Yosemite’s giant sequoias—ancient redwood trees whose trunks span up to 40 feet (12 meters) in diameter. Your drive continues into the Yosemite Valley, stopping at Tunnel View for the quintessential photo op of that includes Bridalveil Fall, El Capitan, and Half Dome.
After a close-up look at the falls, head to El Capitan, the world’s largest exposed granite monolith. Search for rock climbers ascending its sheer face, which rises thousands of feet above the valley floor. Then it’s on to see Half Dome and Yosemite Falls, whose lower and upper cascades form North America’s tallest waterfall.
During free time to explore on your own and purchase lunch (own expense), you can hike among numerous paths, snap more photos at the base of Yosemite Falls or visit Yosemite Village. Then meet back up with your guide for the return drive to San Francisco, with another quick stop for food in the Central Valley before your full-day tour ends with hotel drop-off.
Absolutely worth it doing this tour.
Yosemite is magical and it's a great way to get the first glimpse! I wish I had more time but it still felt we had time for a couple of nice shorter hikes - so it was not "all day on the bus" sort of thing.
We were very lucky to visit Giant Sequioas (not guaranteed in Winter due to possible snow) but this Winter it is very dry in CA.
The travel time one way is about 4 hrs (including the food stop) - it went by very fast.
Our guide and driver Mike was very good; he spent some time living in the part in the past and shared some interesting information about it.
Fantastic experience! One of the most impressive parks I have seen in my life! Our driver Phil was very knowledgeable and humourous! We had a fantastic time and learnt a lot! He made sure we not only did all the scheduled stops but also some additional for pictures! Great trip, I would highly recommend this experience!
Great way to see Yosemite in one day! Phil our guide was very knowledgeable and was a great driver ☺️. He also had themed playlists for the trip to Yosemite (example: songs with “gold” in them while driving through where the gold rush was) I LOVE a good themed playlist and he timed his perfectly to enhance the trip. Seeing the Sequoias was really nice and the whole time in the park seeing El Cap, half dome, and the waterfalls was amazing. We got a lot of free time in the park to explore. Thanks so much for the great experience!!
Inam from Costa Rica and This is one of the best tours I have made in my life. Yosemite is so amazing by itself but Bryan makes it so much better with his deep knowledge of the park and perfect timing we got to see a lot of the most Iconic atractions in the park. I hightly recomend this tour.
Phil was a great guide. He showed us the best spots to take amazing pictures. I was disappointed that we couldn't see the sequoias due to the roads being iced over, but that's on me for booking the tour in the winter. He gave us a good amount of information and I was glad that he chose to play music and concentrate on driving while navigating the winding roads out of the park rather than talk to us.
Thoroughly enjoyed this tour and the guide cum driver Brian was simply awesome. Highly energetic, took care of us throughout the day, explained everything that we saw and kept us entertained. Exceptional!
Brilliant day from start to end. Would have been nice to know that the Sequoia trees aren’t always accessible in the winter as there is also a slighter cheaper day trip which misses these out, so the fact we didn’t get to see them yet paid the premium price was a little annoying. Other than that the day trip was brilliant, all the stops were spectacular and our guide Phil was brilliant at keeping us informed with nuggets of knowledge and stories from the moment he collected us from the hotel, all the way to the park and back again. Brilliant day! Our only regret is not doing it over 2 days to fit in more hiking.
