San Fran boutique winery tour - March 2020
, Mar 2020
My daughter and I took a trip to San Francisco. Discovered this winery tour and couldn’t have been happier. Our tour guide was Anthony. He was fabulous. Very accommodating and informative of not only the wineries but, also the area and history of the area - and I might add has a great sense of humor. I chose the boutique winery tour because I was interested in wines from the area that weren’t widely commercially distributed- and these were perfect for my interests.
Enjoyed a terrific trip to Sonoma with our tour guide, Anthony. We stopped at two boutique wineries (Homewood and Mayo) plus the larger Cline Cellars. We sampled 5 to 6 wines at each stop. Lunch was in Sonoma and it was a beautiful day that allowed us to eat on the sidewalk patio in the sunshine. Anthony was a terrific guide that shared lots of information about San Francisco, Sausalito and Sonoma during our trip there and back.
Nick was our guide -super nice and accommodating. I had looked at probably every tour group and we chose this one. We went to three wineries and did not feel rushed at all. I liked this one because you had lunch on your own in Sonoma Square. The wineries had us set up at tables for the group and they described the wine and the wine making process. At the end we stopped at Sausalito and you had the option of taking the ferry back to SF or being dropped off at your original hotel spot. Fun time!
Overall, my experience was great. I LOVED the idea of it being a small group, which makes for a better personal experience. The ONLY thing I might recommend, would be re-thinking the wineries that are visited. I do love small-production wineries, but maybe include only 1 in the package?
The guide was great too....very knowledgable and personable. That also makes for a great day.
I plan on taking friends with me the next time I do one of your tours!
We had so much fun on this tour! Our tour guide was amazing- was fun, funny, and knew so much for the history of San Fran and the surrounding area. This adventure was by far my friends and mine favorite part of our trip out west!
What a wonderful day we had with our tour guide Anthony. He was fun, witty and full of facts and tails of the San Francisco, Sonoma and Napa areas we toured along with other info about the towns we passed. I highly recommend this group if you are touring this area.
With having the typhoon Hagibis in Japan, my flight got cancelled and had to expand my business trip longer, here in San Fransisco. I decided, then why shouldn't I have a visit to the world's most famous winery county... My trip started with anxiety as it was a solo trip, but every thing changed when I got on the bus. The guide/driver Epete was a thoughtful and knowledgeable guide, who knew all sorts of things. Not only the wine and how to drink, but history, the landscape, and many ideas on what is going on around the world! The winery we went to was lovely but the last but not least Golden gate bridge scenery was lovely too!
Thank you so much for the guided tour! I was lucky to participate, and strongly recommend you on this!
