Why Travelers Choose This Tour
Secure visits to 3 wineries after Muir Woods in the morning—a rare combo.
Muir Woods National Monument tour: Hotel pickup in San Francisco starts early for the drive north across the Golden Gate Bridge, meaning you’ll reach Muir Woods before many other tours arrive. On your way out of the city, see the Palace of Fine Arts and the Presidio.
Muir Woods National Monument is home to a pristine forest of California coastal redwoods, which are some of the planet’s tallest and oldest trees with heights that can reach 250 feet (76 meters). You have some time here to wander through the grove of giant sequoias and cross over mossy streams. Your guide will tell you about the local vegetation and wildlife along the nature trail. Then return to the tour vehicle for the drive further north into wine country.
Wine country tour: When you reach your first winery in Sonoma County’s Carneros region, you can explore the grounds, enjoy photo ops of the vineyard and sample a variety of wines in a welcoming atmosphere. For lunch, guests can choose one of two lunch options. The first is to venture out on their own and try one of the many cafés and restaurants located in the plaza. The second option is to upgrade their wine country experience to the next level with a private seated gourmet food and wine pairing experience at a local restaurant. They will enjoy delicious local food paired with a collection of California wines. After being greeted with Sonoma Valley cheeses and sparkling wine, guests may select a course such as white bean & vegetable soup, pasta with almond-arugula pesto and grated pecorino romano or grilled salmon with seasonal vegetables and balsamic reduction. Afterward, continue your tour to your second and third wineries in Sonoma County or Napa County for more tastings. Enjoy a leisurely stop at each winery, and you’ll have the chance to taste 3 to 5 wines of different varietals, from white to red to sparkling. Tasting fees are included, and you may purchase bottles not available in retail stores to take home. See below for a sample of wineries you may visit. Your day trip ends with the drive back across the Golden Gate Bridge. Admire views of the vast Pacific and the rugged coastline before hotel drop-off.
Redwoods & Wine Country Escape with Gourmet Food & Wine Pairing upgrade : Discover Muir Woods National Monument, Sonoma & Napa Valley in 1 Day and enjoy an exclusive three-course gourmet meal and wine pairing. (Lunch for children not included in the rate and needs to get paid at the restaurant). NOTE: Tastings are usually held at Kieu Hoang Winery Cline Cellars and Mayo Family Winery, but locations are subject to change, depending on availability.

The Presidio, a 1,500-acre park on a former military post, is a major outdoor recreation hub. It has forested areas, miles of trails, a golf course and scenic overlooks.
The Palace of Fine Arts in the Marina District of San Francisco, California, is a monumental structure originally constructed for the 1915 Panama-Pacific Exposition in order to exhibit works of art presented there.
The primeval home to old growth Coastal Redwoods, some at least 1,200 years old. The tallest is 258 feet high.
We optimize the time you spend on the trails of Coastal Redwoods by arriving before the crowds. You’ll spend just over an hour enjoying California’s native flora and fauna, taking in giant ferns, moss-lined creeks, fresh bay leaf-scented air from the many Laurel trees and squirrels, blue jays and deer if you’re lucky.

The tour was great and I would highly recommend to do it! We were a group of 4 women in our late 20s and we all enjoyed the tour. We had about an hour at Muir Woods to walk through the park before touring 3 different wineries (Kieu Hoang Winery in Napa, Mayo Family in Sonoma, and Muscardini Cellars in Sonoma). We opted to purchase lunch on our own in Sonoma Plaza and there were plenty of restaurants to choose from.
What a fantastic tour!! Kimmy our tour guide and driver was absolutely fantastic.
The day is long but you get to see so much and I was so impressed with how it was run and organised. I couldn’t fault it. The three wineries were fantastic and it was a great way to do wine country within a day. I didn’t do the lunch but heard great comments from those that did.
The Sonoma stop at lunch was just perfect. An absolute treat of a place.
If you’re looking to pack a lot into one day, get looked after and driven around and get some amazing information about the area then this is for you.
Thanks for a great day Kimmy :)
This tour was very well done. The time allowed at Muir Woods and the 3 wineries was perfect. Would have been fun to have a bit more time in Sonoma to eat lunch and shop some of the stores. We did the gourmet lunch and had just enough time to get some amazing ice cream.
Great way to see multiple attractions in one day BUT with that comes a lot of driving! Our guide was great and even went to a “special” spot for a Golden Gate Bridge photo op. Muir Woods is beautiful and the wineries were nice enough (wasn’t blown away)
Would recommend but be prepared to spend a lot of time on the bus.
