Pedal past sights like Aquatic Park Cove, part of San Francisco Maritime National Historic Park, and enjoy views of Alcatraz Island and the Golden Gate Bridge. For older teenagers to say afterwards - “wow that was fun “ - that was music to my ears . Eli was I formative and knowledgeable and was very conscientious about everyone’s safety- giving thorough guidelines. Great experience!

Great fun, but watch out for extra costs.

Great guide, full of energy. Hiring electric bikes is well worth it but the frame sizes are too small for someone 6ft so I felt cramped and uncomfortable. $500 security deposit per bike is held on a credit card until the bikes are returned. Extra insurance is charged onsite.
icon Response from Host , Jul 2022
Hi there There are no extra costs. Damage insurance is optional (you can say no) and there is no cost of $500, but rather a credit card authorization against the bikes until they are returned (akin to a hotel room process- its a hold, not a charge). All of this is explained in our listing. No taxes or fees charged either. Glad you loved the tour!! Take care, Susan

Bikes in excellent condition, friendly staff!!

fantastic experience cycling over bridge & would definitely recommend the experience. When booking online i was advised there was no non electric bikes left, therefore i paid an additional sum for electric bike. (even went online chat to request basic bike). when i arrived there was loads of basic bikes, so annoyed that i was charged an additional cost when there was multiple basic bikes available!!! Did offer to change on day but would not refund difference in bike price. Electric Bike was in excellent condition & very easy to operate with first class instructions. My helmet did not fit even with multiple adjustments! i had booked the tour guide who was very knowledgeable about SF but i did not appreciate how long this was going to take, with multiple stops. As my time was limited for further activities booked for late afternoon. i left the tour guide and cycled solo over bridge. it was well signed posted and an amazing experience that i would definitely recommend. i had bought a return ferry ticket however i decided to cycle back over as unsure of ferry times, and the company refunded my ticket. So…. i would deffo do again - but if no basic bikes left online booking i’d just turn up and hire! Bikes were in excellent condition and very friendly & hard working staff If your booking tour guide allow plenty of time and suitable for all abilities, so deffo worth doing. (no electric bikes available- clearly untrue so paid extra free affect my rating & plus i think they should inform people the trip takes 4+hrs.).

Fun Memorable Experience - Beware of Day Of Fees
Jacob_M
, Jul 2022
I am glad we had the chance to bike over the Golden Gate Bridge, and the electric powered bikes made it possible to bike back… but the bike ride itself had some parts that felt fairly unsafe (no bike lanes on roads leading to Sausalito where speed limit was 35+). This is not a reason to not do the tour, just please be expecting this if you have young children. They online description of the event failed to mention there’s a fee for dropping your bike off in Sausalito, and a fee for taking the ferry back. Easy way they can rely on an additional $40+ a person when they show up the day of the tour. We happily biked back, taking our time, and not paying the additional fee. In total - glad we went to SF and biked over the bridge, and Sausalito is nice, just be ready for a few roads without bike lanes and for trying to squeeze a few extra dollars out of you.

Golden Gate Bridge bike tour

Great and easy way to see the Golden Gate Bridge up close and personal. Travelled with my two daughters, one more confident than the other. Guide ensured frequent stops and that we all kept together. All round a great day out

Nice views but disorganized company
Cindy_M
, Jun 2022
The company was disorganized. We showed up 45 mins early as instructed and had to wait for our guide. They didn’t seem prepared. Our tour guide was too talkative while we wanted to enjoy the ride, used some inappropriate language around children, and he was rude to a guy he was training. As a family we had a great time enjoying the challenge of cycling hills and the Golden Gate Bridge.

Be cautious when booking here
Sadie_S
, Jun 2022
The guy who runs the place was very rude when dropping the bike off in Sausalito. If you offer that as a service you shouldn’t get upset at your customer when your tour guide hooks the bike lock up wrong. Very unprofessional and didn’t leave a good experience In my mind. Be careful if you book through them they charge you multiple times for things if you aren’t paying attention. I will update once we find out if they correct the multiple charges.

Amazing Experience

This was the best experience of my San Francisco trip! Judy was our bike tour guide and really made it memorable. She was knowledgeable, friendly, and patient with everyone as we had both beginner and advanced bicyclists in our group. The tour itself was amazing- cycling though San Francisco, across the Golden Gate Bridge and on to Sausalito, which was beautiful! I can’t wait to do this again!

A memorable day for our family

, May 2022
This was a memorable day for our family!! Such an enjoyable bike tour! Our tour guide Blake was so great! Friendly and knowledgeable about San Francisco history. Made short stops along the way to rest and share more area history. Took us to so many beautiful locations. Yes, i used a “pedal-assist” electric bike (first time) - super easy to operate and navigate the slightly hilly tour. I’m 62 years old and no problem keeping up with group. Thanks Blake for a great day! John & Jennifer Church and Katie
