Madame Tussauds: Allow at least one hour to experience this famous wax museum at San Francisco’s Fishermans Wharf. Marvel at lifelike statues of iconic celebrities such as Marilyn Monroe and Elton John; get up close and personal with famous politicians and world leaders like Barack Obama; and come in contact with A-list athletes and actors including Leonardo DiCaprio, Kate Winslet, and George Clooney. In addition, see a special exhibit on prominent San Francisco and Bay Area figures. Peek behind the scenes and learn how these life-size models are created by the experts.
San Francisco Dungeon: At this interactive theatrical attraction at Fisherman’s Wharf, watch live actors bring two centuries of San Francisco’s sordid history to life. They’ll draw you into fascinating tales of the Gold Rush, Alcatraz, Chinatown and more. Nine live-action vignettes will amuse and educate you.
Alcatraz: It’s a short walk through Fisherman’s Wharf to Alcatraz Landing where you’ll board the ferry across San Francisco Bay to Alcatraz Island, aka ‘The Rock.’ Snap photos as you pass by the San Francisco skyline and Golden Gate Bridge. Step out at Alcatraz, a former maximum-security penitentiary, now a National Park Service site, and tour the cell block on a self-guided audio tour that provides a captivating overview of the prison that once held America’s most notorious criminals, including Al ‘Scarface’ Capone. Your tour ends with your ferry ride back to Alcatraz Landing.
Your combo package begins at Madame Tussauds where you must collect you Alcatraz voucher first. You may visit the attraction in any order. Your boat to Alcatraz leaves at 12.30pm.
Next, visit San Francisco Dungeon. This interactive theatrical experience at Fisherman’s Wharf covers 200 years of San Francisco’s often dark and dirty history. You may laugh, you may scream, you may end up in the clink — it’s all part of the fun as live actors draw you into their fascinating tales of the Gold Rush, Alcatraz, Chinatown and more. ** Closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays
The next part of your journey kicks off with a scenic, wind-whipped ride across San Francisco Bay to Alcatraz Island, aka ‘The Rock.’ You’ll have breathtaking views of the Golden Gate Bridge and the San Francisco skyline as you approach your destination. In the past hundred years or so, Alcatraz has gone from military prison to maximum-security penitentiary to National Park Service site. You can tour the cells that once held America’s most notorious prisoners, including Al ‘Scarface’ Capone. The roughly 2.5 hour tour will give you a captivating overview of the intriguing, and scary, history of this little island on the bay. Your tour ends with your ferry ride back to Alcatraz Landing.
Enjoyed Madam Tussauds although keep in mind it is much smaller that the one in New York City. You need about 1 hour to go through it if you plan on taking pics and reading the bios. Alcatraz was a must see!! Skip the San Francisco Dungeon. Very cheesy!!! The ride is ridiculous!!! I would not waste your time or money on the San Francisco Dungeon!I should have done more research before buying this pass.
My 18yr old had been wanting to do Alcatraz for years (every time we were ever in California).... finally set aside the time on this years vacation for the excursion... we went with our 3 teenagers and everyone had a blast. The dungeon was a lot of fun and Madame Tussauds is always great.
We planned a trip to San Francisco on relatively short notice and the tickets for direct booking to Alcatraz were sold out. This ticket was well worth it - we got the time slot that worked best for us and then did madame tossauds and the dungeon. The dungeon was a pleasant surprise and I wouldn’t have done it had I not gotten this package - I’m so glad we got this.
A must see! Entertaining, Interactive, and Informative! Did the 3-in-1 to get the most out of my visit to San Francisco and could not have been happier! The Dungeon keeps you on your toes, and alert! And was able to relive parts of my youth at the museum! And "The Rock" is out of this world! Already planning my next visit!
