Learn about Golden Gate Park and see its major attractions in an easy yet adventurous way. On this San Francisco Segway tour, you’ll cover more ground than you would on foot but still enjoy being outside.

Start by meeting your guide and participating in a 35- to 45-minute practice session to get used to your Segway, which most riders find to be very intuitive. Then set off, gliding through the park with your guide, who will tell you about the history of the park, such as how it went from uninhabited sand dunes in the 1870s to a well-planned city gathering space that’s home to museums, lakes, gardens and more. Spot sights like the Shakespeare Garden, the lawn bowling courts, the Conservatory of Flowers, Stow Lake and two impressive museums—the California Academy of Sciences and the de Young, a fine arts museum.

Cruise past Lily Pond, a pioneer log cabin, a grove of redwood trees and other lesser-known highlights, and make plenty of stops to take photos of this 1,000-acre (405-hectare) sanctuary that spreads from the middle of the city to Ocean Beach. Your tour ends with return to the starting point in the park.

Every member of our family loved learning to control a Segway and then riding all over the park, capably and delightfully guided by Johannes. Golden Gate Park is much more beautiful than we had anticipated, with many interesting plants and garden areas. Highly recommended!

I was visiting San Francisco with 2 of my teenage daughters. Last-minute I decided to book the Segway tour so they could see Golden Gate Park. Jeff was a great tour guide! We had so much fun and learned so much about the Park. One of the highlights of our short trip. We definitely recommend this tour.

Our tour was very interesting, such beautiful scenery and rich history. It was our first time riding a Segway and we were a little nervous about it at first and decided to not go and give our tickets to someone else, but our tour guide, (Goddess of Cali) aka Hanna, told us she would give us some extra attention and make sure we had a great time, which she absolutely did!! What a fantastic and charismatic personality she has, she made it the best thing we have done in years!!

Best experience ever. Better than scuba or hot air ballooning

My friend said that hands down it was the most fun he’s ever had - it beat hot air ballooning and scuba diving. He wants to buy a Segway now! The team were super sweet and funny. Within 5 minutes you will be an expert. The park is really nice and going by Segway is the way to go. Dress warm, a wool hat and gloves a must. Loved it
