Alcatraz and walking Craft Beer Combo Tour
, Nov 2019
Alcatraz was very interesting. The walking craft beer tour with Henrique of SF on Tap was a blast. He schooled us on some history as well as a variety of different beers while taking us to a brewery and several unique bars. The group we had was energetic and fun! Made several new friends from around the country while enjoying some interesting hops. Would highly recommend!
We enjoyed the Alcatraz tour. But, the SF On Tap walking beer tour was fabulous. Mike had so much knowledge to share not only about the beer we had but also about the city and it’s history. Highly recommend it.
Great day! We enjoyed Alcatraz, which was expected. Then we loved the beer tour, i would recommend it to anyone with small to large interest in beer. We had very good beers and snacks, learned quite a lot about secret spots in SFO and met cool people. Again, very recommended!
We do recommand it. You won’t regret your choice. The beer tour was SUPER interesting, educative and fun! Just be sure to organize strategically your time in the morning to target what you want to see from Alcatraz (garden, listen to guide’s escape stories, audio tour guide of the cells ) to have the time to do everything you want there before catching the return boat for lunch and beer tour.
Alcatraz audio tour was so engaging. So much interesting history. Felt like we were transported back in time. The walking Craft Beer tour was better than I expected. Henrique’s passion and knowledge of beer and local gems was spot on. We had the chance of going inside a local brewery on our tour which was a great experience. Our small group on the tour started out as strangers and became friends at the end. Definitely recommend combo tour.
When they day started, I thought the main attraction would be Alcatraz and the beer tastings would be a nice to have after the tour. I was sorely mistaken. The beer tastings were well thought out and Enrique was extremely knowledgable and personable. I got to pick up a lot of knowledge on brewing beer to different kinds and what it all means. The smaller group made it a very lovey conversation, meeting folks from different backgrounds. And coupled with the walking tour around San Francisco, the walking tour was a perfect balance of beer, fun and learning. Couldn’t recommend it more to anyone who’s looking for a cool way to spend their time.
Exceeded my expectations 100% - tour guide was too legit ask for Henrique. I thought this was simply going to be a ticket for Alcatraz with 1 or 2 pints and then get sent on my way. The tour had multiple stops, including a tour of the brewery, a very knowledgeable beer enthusiast, snacks along the way and stops at places I would not have stopped at otherwise. If you want to catch Alcatraz, then make your way through SF sipping delish brews, this one you can purchase with no hesitations.
We loved this combo tour as we were only in San Francisco for 2 days. Plenty of time on the rock and the beer tour was fabulous and informative - great way to see some of the lesser known sights. Beer plentiful and great snacks.
