Then get dropped off for lunch in Fisherman's Wharf (own expense) prior to your Alcatraz tour.
Back in the city, board a ferry from Pier 33 for the ride across the bay to Alcatraz Island, home to the former prison of the same name. Enjoy the prison's fascinating audio tour as you explore the cellblock, and then return to Pier 33 on the ferry to end your day tour.

"I would have preferred a bit more time in Sausilito, an hour was just too tight even for a decent lunch, although the guide give us some good pointers on where to go." See review
"I really like the pace of the tour - just enough time at all the stops and the minibus gets you right to the front all attractions." See review

We loved this tour. Our tour guide Aaron was AWESOME! Very knowledgeable and so much fun. Great driver and we learned a lot about San Fransico in one day. We were able to choose a restaurant on our own for lunch in the town and enjoyed some private time at certain spots. I highly recommend this for any age.
I've been on a lot of these types of tours and this one, by far, has been my favorite. Our driver, Patrick, made the distances go by quickly with a trivia-style sing-a-long of all famous artists who have recorded albums in SF area. If you got it right you got Ghiradelli. All the sights were amazing... it's exactly what I wanted from my tour and more.
We had a great day with Adam as our guide. He provided an excellent tour through the city pointing out areas worth going back to with more time. Muir Woods is also a great place to visit. Alcatraz is as expected but well worth the time to do at least once.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience - we have passed along your review to our guide, Adam. As you mentioned, our City Highlight Tour includes San Francisco, over an hour in Muir Woods, and the official Tour of Alcatraz.
Again, we know you have a lot of options, so we appreciate you booking with our tour company.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience! As you mentioned, we pack a lot into 1-day (San Francisco city tour, Muir Woods, Alcatraz), so it is highly recommended for customers who just have 1-day to spend in San Francisco.
Again, thank you for booking with us!
This tour was awesome. Our tour guide and driver, Patrick was excellent at his job. He was knowledgable, fun, and welcoming to all. Patrick has a great sense of humor and made our day way more enjoyable than it would have been without him. The tour hit almost all of the big stops we were hoping to see in San Francisco along with a couple other stops I wouldn't have thought to go to on our own! Highly recommend for any age group.
We had Julio as our tour guide.. he was personable and extremely knowledgeable about the history of the city and great places to visit. The bus was very clean and we were given ample time to visit at each stop! The tour is a perfect way to see San Fran in one day as we had only one full day in the city. We got to spend over an hour in Muir Woods, over an hour in Sausalito where we had an amazing lunch and beautiful views and topped it off with a Ferry ride to Alcatraz where we could spend as much time as we wanted. In between we saw the Palace of fine arts, many beautiful parks, presidio, gorgeous homes and neighborhoods, and of course the Golden Gate Bridge! We would definitely recommend this tour!
