Overview

Take a relaxing afternoon sailing cruise aboard a traditional sailboat on the San Francisco Bay. Cruise past landmarks such as Alcatraz Island, Angel Island, the Sausalito waterfront, and Golden Gate Bridge, and see the San Francisco skyline on your way back to Pier 39. Includes two drinks, and personalized attention from the crew and captain.
  • Sailing tour on San Francisco Bay, from Pier 39
  • View top attractions including Alcatraz Island and the Golden Gate Bridge
  • Sail aboard an elegant vessel with teak decks and bronze fittings
  • Includes two glasses of wine, beer, soft drink, or water
Make your own way to Pier 39 to meet your captain and first mate, and board the stately double-masted sailboat, which can hold up to 28 passengers.

After a safety briefing, your captain motors out of the marina. The crew raises the sails as your vessel reaches the open waters of San Francisco Bay. Keep your camera handy as you sail past Alcatraz Island and Angel Island. Take in a new perspective on the Bay Bridge, the rolling hills of Marin, and the waterside city of Sausalito. Get great photo ops as your captain steers parallel to the Golden Gate Bridge, then turn your gaze back to the San Francisco waterfront as your sailboat returns to Pier 39.

During the cruise, select two beverages to sip, choosing from beer, wine, soft drinks, or water. If you have any questions, feel free to ask the captain and crew, or simply relax and enjoy the sailing experience.

Excellent experience! The captain and first mate were outstanding. Wear a heavy jacket as it gets very chilly. Beautiful views of Alcatraz, Golden Gate Bridge, Bay Bridge, and SF Skyline.

Third time with this sailing company in five years with different friends visiting the SF. Same captain but different fist mate. Each time I felt safe and had a wonderful time taking in the views. Well worth the money and time.

Wow

I enjoyed the boat ride in the Bay. I would suggest that they make sure everyone wears a life preserver vest and not just show that they are on board! Seating did not help anchor you in place as sailboat tipped one way or other. Offering a drink is counter intuitive when you need both hands to hang on boat railings. I have never been on a sailboat before and loved the excursion and the views, but considering how choppy the Bay area is even on a calm day, I think you need to make sure passengers are safe and secure in their ride. It was just a boat ride on a sailboat, I thought they would have done touristy type comments as we passed buildings, etc..

Our guides were knowledgeable and fun. The views were amazing and the tour was a great amount of time. The tour boat wasn’t very full so we got to move around a lot, and this definitely was a great use of money!

Sailing in SF Bay

Captain and first mate were terrific. SF weather was also great. 90 minutes on the bay once around Alcatraz and back to port. we had a great view of the Golden Gate Bridge, Bay Bridge and a shorter glimpse of the Richmond San Raphael Bridge. evidently not enough wind so Captain did keep motor going for a lot of the sail. Lovely way to get a spectacular view of SF.

The boat crew were very accommodating to myself and 4 kids. When it got a little chilly in the bay, they provided us with heavy jacket which allowed everyone to stay warm and enjoy the ride. Thanks again!
