Return Details

Returns to original departure point
Travel back in time when sailing on the America, a replica of the sailing ship that won the first America's Cup sailing competition in 1851. Your classic sailing vessel provides a smooth ride and spacious decks, perfect for sailing on the Pacific Ocean in search of gray whales and other marine life. Since your boat principally moves under wind power without using the engine, your captain can get closer to the marine animals without scaring them. The boat's deep keel provides excellent stability and large decks offer unobstructed views, making the America a prime vessel for whale-watching.

Snacks and drinks (non-alcoholic) are offered during the cruise. You are welcome to bring along a picnic lunch or your favorite bottle of wine to enjoy onboard.

Whale sightings are guaranteed on your cruise. If no whales are sighted, you can return for a complimentary whale watching cruise on another day in the same season. The America also provides a 'No Seasickness' guarantee.

Good choice

The crew asked us how dedicated we were and that we might be late. But the opportunity to see a whale was a little further. We all agreed and they went the extra mile literally to make sure we saw a whale. The staff was awesome and the trip was smooth. No complaints, five stars all the way

This was an absolutely incredible experience! The crew was so knowledgeable and the service was phenomenal. They took the time to ask everyone if it was okay to take an extra hour and a half to go find the whale and we were successful! The ship was breathtaking and the story and history were so amazing to hear! 20/10 would recommend!

What an amazing crew! Everyone was so nice, so knowledgeable and genuinely looked to be enjoying their work. We didn’t see any whales but it wasn’t for lack of trying. We saw lots of dolphins. The ship was comfortable, even came with an adorable pup on board! We enjoyed ourselves tremendously and would absolutely do the tour again!

All in all a nice trip

Everything was perfect. We were there with 4 people. We are from Germany. The sailing was very nice and the employees are very friendly. 2 things can be better in the future: Before check-in is no flag there for orientation. And there is no number 2050 anywhere. That makes it difficult to find. The 2nd is, that on the whole trip every time the combustion engine ran. That’s not so nice. But overall it was a very nice trip.

So didn't get to see any whales - but did see a school of about 40 dolphins... a bit choppy on the water - a couple of people were sick...do take layered clothing. Staff were friendly informative and great energy.
