Los Haitises National Park Boat trip + Hiking 2 Hours in The Rain Forest

This tour was a top highlight of my trip! Our guide, Halle Jackson, was incredibly knowledgeable and had stellar customer service.! Our excellent service started before our journey when Halle reached out on WhatsApp to ensure I had all the directions for when and where to meet him for our tour. He met us right at the dock and had the entire day pre-arranged to include a taxi and a boat tour. Halle is very knowledgeable about the plants, environment, and history of the Los Haitises National Park. He shared he had studied for 18 months specifically for his job and it showed in his tour. We were able to enjoy a beautiful boat tour, hiking to the caves with a botany lesson along the way, and enjoyed fresh fruit on the beach for a short rest. Above all, when my boyfriend lost his brand new cell phone (we figured it fell out of his pocket in the taxi when we were climbing out, Halle located the phone and drove back to the dock to give it to us. This honest act that went above and beyond shows the caliber of this young man and the company he works for. Thank you, Halle, for a wonderful memory!
