Good not great experience
, Mar 2022
Went last week with Maiju. We were very fortunate to see a grand display of the NL’s. The disappointment came with a couple of issues. The key to a great picture was in the setup of my Nikon D3500 camera. I did do some previous research for camera setup. This tour was chosen for its photographic insight.Although Maiju gave a small effort in helping us set up it was while we were in the field under darkness with a headlamp. Not ideal conditions. If we could of received a tutorial BEFORE the excursion, that would of been much more helpful. Luckily, I also had a newer version iPhone which allowed me to get some great photos. Secondly, the pictures that were provided which included us in the fore ground were almost a waste as there wasn’t much activity going on at the time. Timing was way off…should of been repeated..This wasn’t a cheap trip and I expected better quality. If not for the lights Mother Nature provided I would have been very disappointed.

Dear John, Thank you very much for your good review! And also thank you for pointing out these few things you felt would need some improvement! Every nights is a different kind of adventure when talking about the Northern Lights. Some of the nights we have more time to go through camera settings already on first stop or even before and some nights we might need to go quicker to final location and ensure we will catch the Aurora show. This is something that is very difficult to control as we talk about natural phenomenon and whole night needs to be planned according to weather and aurora forecast. Your idea of workshop before the trip is very good and we have also been thinking the best way to include it already before the trip! Same thing with photography part, as there are 8 people in the group and they have own cameras and phones, our priority is to teach everyone basics of night-time photography, so they are able to capture the pictures with their own equipment. After this, it is time to concentrate on individual photos taken by the guide. For the fact what size of the Northern Lights there are in the sky at the time you are coming to individual photo we can’t really control. Best way is to ask our guide to take the portrait photo of you when you see the activity getting higher and this way to ensure that you get exactly the photo you are looking for. Because of many responsibilities during the tour this also helps our guide a lot! 😊 Thank you for pointing these good improvements out, we will definitely consider these more carefully in the future! I wish you all the best and welcome again to chase Northern Lights with us! 😊

Time very well spent, great company. We ended the night with a Lapp barbecue and some conversation. We tried to hunt auroras but without success, the sky was too cloudy.

Great experience, perfect tour

Wonderful trip. Really went out of their way to be helpful and make sure everyone had an amazing time. Really happy we chose the small personal group as well. Was only 7 of us out in the middle of no where. The lights were wonderful
Good tour!

My wife and I went on this tour with Nadia and enjoyed ourselves a lot despite not being able to see the lights. We learnt some night photography skills and did some BBQ. Nadia is a good and professional guide. Thank you!
Didn’t get to take it

We were scheduled to take the tour but the weather forecast was against us. Re scheduled to next night and again the weather did not help. But the company was responsible enough to tell us about it!! Although we did not get to take the tour, the honesty and responsible manner the company managed it, I would definitely recommend it !!

I enjoyed this trip although we didnt see the lights. We learnt some valuable techniques for night photography and have a stunning photo from the trip. It will stand us in good stead on our quest in Sweden again this week.

Even if we didn’t see the auroras, it was still a fun tour and the guides made you feel like they really want you to see the lights. They take extra efforts to take you places with better chances and make you feel comfy throughout. Worth it!

pessima scelta

Aspettative diverse. Abbiamo fatto questo tour sperando nell’aurora boreale. Tutto nuvoloso. 250€ in coppia, buttati. Consiglio di valutare di osservare l’Aurora Boreale piu su verso Ivalo/Inari.
Suerte y buenas predicciones
, Jan 2019
