Well worth the money!

This tour was amazing! The high speed train from Rome to Naples saved us a lot of time. Our tour guide Chez was great, and extremely knowledgeable. He made the time on the bus (traveling from Naples to Positano) seem so short, because he explained so much during the 1 1/2 hour ride. So glad we did this tour and got to truly see the best of the Amalfi Coast!

Wonderful Way To See Amalfi

This tour was wonderful. The train was organized by the tour company and allowed a fast way to get to Naples without Rome's incredible traffic. The tour visited a lemoncello factory and a mozzarella cheese factory as well as each of the three beautiful towns on the Amalfi Coast. The guide, Caesare, was superb. He was informed, energetic and very skilled at presenting places that he was personally proud and happy to present. It was a long day but a very satisfying one. This tour is an absolute "don't miss" when in Rome, You won't find a better place to visit or a better organized tour. Just brilliant!

And So Much More

This tour had more than expected. Be aware it is a very long day and I was beyond exhausted, in a good way, by the evening. I was so glad I reserve a hotel near the train station. Huge Kudos to the City wonders tour guide, Cesare, who meet the group in Naples in the train station. He was fantastic. Clear English, funny, gave great information, very patient and attentive. This tour is so worth it. You meet a City Wonders tour guide at the Roma Termini station. They guide you to the correct train and gives clear directions how to depart the train in Naples to meet your tour guide for the day. If I recall it was about 1.5 hours of a nice train ride going through some beautiful countryside once you get out of Rome. Cesare met us at the Naples train station and guided us to the bus that would start our journey down the coastline. It included a stop and tour of a Limoncello outlet that makes its own Limoncello. That was interesting to see this as I love it and have it at home. I bought some different products to bring home even though I can get it in the U.S. made in Sorrento. There is also an area to buy lunch or something to eat and he gave us plenty of time to browse. Next stop was Positano where you have plenty of time to walk down to the beach and through this small town. Beautiful. Next was Amalfi where we stopped at a recommended restaurant for lunch. Meh, not my favorite and the service was really bad and the food just okay. I am an American-Italian. My parents are from Italy and I know good food. So I will say the company of some of the other tourist made up for it and we had a great time. At the end you can pay an extra 24.00 Euros to take a boat ride and see more of the coastline from a different angle. Not sure this added anything for me. There are places to eat and get gellato. Next we headed back towards Naples and made the last stop to observe the making of mozzarella and get samples. It was good and I am sure very interesting for anyone who has experienced this before. Yes, I have, a few times. again it was the company of the other tourists that added to the fun as I travel alone. We then made the 1.5 hours back to Naples to board the train back to Rome which was another 1+ hours on the fast train. Lovely day and glad I re-visited this coastline. So the not so great is I get motion sickness. No, it was not the boat but the bus ride to/from Naples around winding roads, up and down, ugh!

Our Guide didn’t show up!

Saved the best of Italy for the last day! Instead it was the worst tour I’ve ever been on. Our tour guide didn’t show up! And this we were only informed of in Naples at the second stop instead of telling us at the meeting point! They didn’t give us an option to cancel the trip for a refund. Very disappointing to say the least!

Well organized small tour with Big Almafi Coast Experience!

, Jun 2019
After looking through numerous Almafi Coast tours and reading reviews where everyone felt like they were cattle, I chose to go with a tour that had a max of 20 people. We lucked out and only had 8. From the beginning of the tour in Rome everything was organized and the guide there provided us with our tickets and clear instructions of what to do, when to get off, etc. When we arrived in Napoli, Enzo and our our tour driver were punctual and spoke great English! Along the way, we received so much background on the history of Naples, Pompeii, Capri, Sorrento, and Almafi I could write a book! We made several stops along the way to take breath-taking photos. In each city, our guide would give us a quick 5 mins tour and then we were off on our own. The boat ride in Almafi made the trip worthwhile. I can't wait to return and spend a couple days in that area. My only recommendation for future tours is to take some time 5-10 mins from the other smaller stops and allow for more time in Almafi or set the expectation of how long we'll have there in total so we can decide if we want to take a lunch or walk around more. Highly recommend this tour!!

Fabulous Fabian and Anthony’s Fabulous Tour
SSARNP
, May 2019
We (my 27 y.o. son, his best gal friend, and I) thoroughly enjoyed every moment of this adventure. Our guide Fabian was superbly well versed; pleasant demeanor (even when asked some altogether head scratching questions!). Every tour seems to have at least one of these folks...tour wouldn’t be complete, I suppose! At any rate, Positano and Amalfi were absolutely stunning both from land and sea, the restaurant for lunch simply delicious. Anthony our driver skillfully traversed all of the mountainous sharp turns and all the crazy Italian scooter drivers with ease. The scenery all day breathtaking. We ended the day at a mozzelrella cheese making demonstration and tasting ...best buff mozzarella I have ever put in my mouth! This was a magnificent day, if you have the opportunity, don’t pass it up!!!
