Italian art flourished in the Renaissance and Baroque periods, and the Vatican popes put together one of the world’s largest collections of private art with frescos, paintings, sculptures, and treasure. See the highlights as you walk through galleries such as Raphael’s Rooms, and hear stories behind works such as the 'School of Athens'—a piece that features images of Michelangelo and Raphael himself.
Pass through halls such as the Gallery of the Masks and Gallery of the Maps. Then, make your way into the Sistine Chapel. A sacred spot and the private papal chapel, the Sistine Chapel is also renowned for its Michelangelo frescoes—'The Last Judgement' and 'The Creation of Adam.'
Continue to St. Peter’s Basilica, which is said to be built on the ground where St. Peter is buried. Admire 'La Pietà,' an early Michelangelo sculpture, and pause to rub the foot of a statue of St. Peter, said to bring good luck. Your Vatican and St. Peter’s Basilica tour then finishes outside the church.

Tour guide was thorough and well-versed in the relevant historical context. He was engaging, entertained questions, clear, and catered well to the younger members of our tour group (which was only 9 people -- an added bonus). Locating the meeting spot was easy, and it was close to the Vatican entry point. The only snag (which was COVID-19 related) had to do with the tour itself -- though specifically mentioned in the description, St. Peter's Basilica was not included because the passageway that connects it to the Sistine Chapel was closed. So we had to individually go around and enter the Basilica on our own (entry was free, and the line wasn't long). The Museum and Sistine Chapel were, of course, magnificent. Be aware that visitors are not allowed to take pictures inside the Sistine Chapel (you can snap away everywhere else), and discussion must be kept to a minimum -- yes, they'll yell at you and, if necessary, remove you for not observing the rules. If you plan to tour the Vatican during the second half of 2020, expect to wear a mask throughout the entire tour (approximately 3 hours).
I have been on tours before and this was too rushed, rooms were missed, he talked and walked, so no time to take pictures. I brought a friend that had not ever been to Rome, so when the Raphael Rooms were not even addressed, I was very unhappy. It seemed we were behind from the beginning, but we literally only got 2.5 hours to run through the Vatican museums, the Sistine Chapel, and the Basilica. I was just so disappointed for my friend.

The tour guide dose not seem to know much about what is in Vatican Museum, and St Peter;s Basilica. nor has passion about the tour. He talked fast, walked fast, and was really rush to finish the tour. When asked him questions, he just say let me get back to you later.
The tour lasted less than 2 hours and we dont get anything from the tour, except walking fast. We ddin not have time to see and to view.
The tour was very good, enlightening, and the tour guide was very good and knowledgeable.
Flaws were that the short distance headphone guide allowing you to listen to the guide is too short and you need to be close to the guide to hear what was being said. However, as these were handed out by the Vatican this isn't a criticism of the guide at all.
The guide though the museums could have done with being longer as there were areas we didn't see, that said with some many people and considering the full tour this is would have made it better but we would still go again knowing what we do now.
This is really a must do.

Our tour guide was wonderful and provided a ton of information in the Vatican Museum, Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter's Basilica. I would recommend spending the extra 10 Euros and going up in the Dome. The views are amazing.
