Ciampino or Fiumicino Airport Private Transfer to Rome

We have booked Viator many times before over the past years that we have travelled so you can imagine our disappointment when we exited the terminal in Rome to find a piece of paper with our name on the glass panel outside the terminal and NO driver which we had pre-paid to take us from the airport to our hotel.We then found a note on our ipad later saying they did not wait - really we knew that!!!. He did wait however did not factor in the flight delay time so if he stayed the time he said starting from the actual arrival time of the flightand and had he factored in the delayed arrival time we would have met...so he obviously did not find out that the plane was 45 minutes later than the expected arrival time....! Meanwhile the reason our exit was delayed the plane had been very delayed taking off from Athens consequently made us delayed because the flight had been delayed, our luggage was lost and no phone in the terminal.. all this could have been completed in the time e waited if he had counted from the actual arrival time...As we had pre-paid our transfer we expected them to at least make inquiries and wait to understand the delay we may have had... We then had to pay again the fare to get to our hotel with someone else.. This certainly. shows when you are in trouble Viator do not worry and cannot be relied upon in a difficult situation... Glad to accept your money but not allow for extended difficulties.... We have tried without success to reach Viator and Mandane to discuss this situation with NO success.... Possibly this note will not be posted however if it gets to the ears of Viator and they wish to at least show some moral integrity to respond then perhaps we may use their services again... we book from Australia which is a long distance away and thought they would be the best help in situations...one can be wrong!!!! VERY, VERY DISAPPOINTED... Expense without service and we had to pay double for our airport transfer/... Not a happy customer....

Very friendly and polite driver on time and during the trip to the hotel he told us where we were and some points if interest. Well worth the money. Thank you.

Our vacation was planned as a 2 part vacation: Initially during the 1st 2 weeks we would fly in and out of 5 different cities in Europe and then join a Tour for the final 2 weeks. With Viator We had excellent pick-up and drop off transportations from airports to in-town hotels and visa versa on the way to the next location. Regretfullly, we had NOT arrange all of our transportation needs with Viator who were efficient and arrived early to pick us up. Although the other ride-company that we used for our trip did very well, we unfortunately almost missed a flight connection because of some mix-up on their part leaving us to call for a TAXI inorder to get to the BGY airport in Milano. So please, if you use these transportation services, be sure to double ck everything is in-order and even call a day ahead of pick-up to confirm your arranged schedule.

Our flight ran a few minutes late and driver was no where to be found. After a 15 minute search we found him. We where told to meet in one location and he was waiting elsewhere. Car was a bit run down and air conditioning was not working. It was 96 degrees that day in Rome. Nice driver, but not the best start to our trip.

Driver was there to meet us just outside the customs exit.The car was clean and comfortable.The driver was knowledgeable about the trip to our hotel.

Our driver was not at the airport meeting point upon our arrival. Had to call several times until another driver responded and said our original driver could not make it. This was a 30 minutes delay.

It took us some extra time to find our driver as he was not exactly where we were told he would be. The car was clean and well maintained. Got us to our hotel efficiently.

Our flight was three hours late but the driver was at the designated location when we arrived. There was a short walk to the car, which was exactly as advertised. During the drive to the hotel, the driver pointed out a number of important buildings and attractions.

Our driver met us at the airport but apparently didn't realize there were 3 of us in our party with bags. She appeared quite irritated. Then - once we were in the vehicle she drove erratically, told us she was quitting the end of the week and proceeded to get lost after she took a wrong turn. She was following GPS but lost the signal. Crazy ride!
