Underground Rome:Capuchin Crypts And Museum Entrance Tickets

We had five days in Rome, so we had time to see some of the less popular sites. My wife wanted to see the Capuchin Crypts because of reading about them way back in High School. For a couple of free hours it covered my needs for seeing the more extensive network of crypts under the city. The church? was clean. It was a fairly narrow hallway showing half a dozen? rooms filled with artistically used bones of a couple of thousand monks. Be sure to take a guide as the stories made it much more interesting. I found it interesting for an extra day in Rome, my wife (who wanted to see it) found it unpleasantly creepy.

Our guide was fantastic ... so knowledgeable and interesting. Friendly and helpfull, and very willing to answer questions and provide even more information! The crypts were very interesting and beautiful ... explaining the stages of life and death in a very deep and meaningful way. The customs and ways of the Capuchin Monks were made very clear throughout. Very enjoyable and interesting. Thank you to our guide.
