Roatan has two Cruise Ship Terminals -- Please check below for meeting location for your arrival dock below:
1) Port of Roatan Cruise Terminal (NCL, RCI, MSC, etc.): As you exit your ship, look for the Bodden Tours kiosk (it will have a large VICTOR BODDEN sign and will be in position #1 on the dock.) One of our representatives will greet you at the kiosk, locate your name on our list and introduce you to your guide for the day.
2) Mahogany Bay Cruise Center (Carnival, Princess, AIDA, Costa, Holland American, P&O, etc): As you exit your ship, customers on Local Independent Tours will be required by Carnival Corporation to exit their dock area through the gates and walk over the hill to the main road. Once outside the gates and over the hill, look for our representatives holding VICTOR BODDEN signs. One of our representatives will greet you, locate your name on our list and introduce you to your guide for the day. At the end of your tour day, we ARE able to drop you off to the entrance of the dock...so you will only have to do this long walk one-way, when you first arrive.
a. Once you are outside the cruise compound, look for the VICTOR BODDEN signs and shirts!!
b. The Port Manager of the Mahogany Bay Cruise Center has negotiated with the on-site Taxi Association to provide transportation, if required, to the Independent Tours meeting area over the hill. The negotiated flat-rate for this taxi service is $2 per person. Please see the Taxi Dispatcher (in the Green Mahogany Bay shirt) to arrange for your group to utilize this service -- tell them that you need the $2 per person transport to Victor Bodden Tours on the other side of the hill. Or, if you'd rather, you can still walk over the hill (approximately 350 yards) to the designated area.
c. Be advised, many other independent tour companies, as well as the Carnival Corporation excursion department, want your tour-business, too! We pride ourselves on our tours, and are happy that you have selected Bodden Tours as your hosts during your Roatan port stop! Be prepared, as you may be approached by representatives of many of these other tour companies. Although we appreciate you supporting our Local Independent Tour Operators, we ask that you tell them your tour is already set, and head toward the Bodden Tours representatives at the locations outlined above.
d. NOTE: Recently, someone has been impersonating our Bodden Tours dispatcher on the Carnival dock property, under the red-roofed structure before you leave for "the walk." This person/persons is NOT affiliated with our company so be very careful! They have been known to say they work for Bodden Tours, or will tell you that the monkeys or ziplines (or another aspect of your tour) has been cancelled. Again, these people DO NOT work for our company, or any other independent tour company -- they are "poachers", trying to steal your business and money. Once outside the fenced-in Mahogany Bay complex, you can be sure that you are speaking to a Bodden Tours representative by their uniform (Bodden Tours placard sign, Bodden Tours polo shirt, etc.) and your name on our tour list!
For those staying on the island, we will pick you up and return you to your lodging accommodations.

Felt shortchanged!

I gave this a 5 star because it is a wonderful excursion; however, our tour guide returned us to the ship 1 1/2 hours early which we did not want or request. We were expecting another hour on the beach. It was quite disappointing to have the beach portion cut short when she had told us we would return to be on the ship at 3:30.

My girlfriends and I had such an amazing time! The staff made the experience. One of my guests had a torn ACL injury and they were so understanding and patient with her. They were fun, lively and accommodating. Would definitely recommend this experience.

Zip lining and the animal park were a ton of fun, staff at each stop went above and beyond to ensure we had a good time. Our driver/guide Big Al was incredible. Taught us a lot about the island and showed us some beautiful spots.

We had a group of 14 who purchased tickets for this. We all had the very best time! The air conditioned bus kept us comfortable on the drive to and from. The large windows gave us the chance to see the gorgeous land as we passed by. First we went through the animal area and had a chance to hold a sloth (incredible!), let a bird walk on our head and got to give a Capuchin monkey a chance to sit on our shoulder. Great photo opportunities. We then went up and they got us ready for the zip lining. They checked and double checked our harnesses and did a great job explaining what we needed to do to be safe. There were 10 zip lines in all and it was the most fun! They encouraged you to do a couple "stunts" on the way but no forcing - it was all so so much fun. Of the 3 excursions we took on this trip, this was by far my favorite. Thank you so much!

I am so happy to hear that we were able to be a part of so many outstanding memories... I hope you took lots of photos of your day and look forward to seeing all 14 of you again VERY soon! Thanks so much for taking the time to share your feedback of our Zip-n-Dip tour with future guests. WE owe you a sloth-hug, or two!!

Not Worth It

Although we were not expecting much given the price compared to other cruise excursions, this attraction was not well done.1. This excursion is run by Victor Bodden Tours. At the dock, you will wait for about 30 minutes in the sun for your tour guide to take you to your bus. The trip to the zipline/monkey facility is run by Bodden tours and is short 15 mins or so bus ride away.2. At the facility is where the chaos first begins. Everyone unloads from the buses (say about 20 or so each bus) and everyone has to line up to be given a waiver to review and sign. There are a ton of people all waiting to sign forms. Then, everyone is intended to pay (which may be confusing if you have already prepaid). This process could easily be optimized by having people review and sign forms on the bus. Those who have paid could easily be given wrist bands prior to boarding the bus or actually on the bus.3. Once you have gone through the waivers and paid, you will either go to the zipline intro or straight to the monkeys (which is what we chose to "skip the zip"). A tour guide leads you to about 5-10 cages where small groups of 8 to 10 people will enter to meet the monkeys or parrots. A couple of cages has about 2 small monkeys that appear to be especially trained to take pictures with you for a few seconds while being fed by the tour guide. The highlight of this tour is that they allow you to take pictures with a sloth or baby sloth for about 30 seconds to 1 minute. The part of the tour to meet the animals is over in about 20 minutes. But if you skipped the zip, be prepared to wait about 1 hour before the rest of the people on your tour group are finished with nothing to do. You will not be allowed back to look at the animals since there will be no tour guide available. 4. Once the zipline/animal tour is done, you will be bussed to a private beach called the Bananarama Dive and Beach Resort. It is there that we ate a $30 meal but somehow, when we went to pay, the bill came to $60 because the waiter "misheard" our order and instead of giving us cgave us other food - which may have been understandable, but he then add "tip" and "taxes" and the bill comes to double. We tried to dispute, but we could tell that this was part of their tourist scam and just angrily paid the bill. On the beach, you will be constantly solicited to pay for braids, food, tshirts, etc.Other than your tour guide (Annie?), everything about this tour made us uncomfortable.
